Now i'm newly single  Beers and wont be paying a mortgage anymore etc i'm buying myself a nice car.

But i'm unsure of what to go for.

i'd say my budget is £8k but could possibly push to £9k for the right motor.

what do people recomend as i'm unsure

depends what you want a hatch or saloon any preff of make and model.
just search autotraders website and look through the cars there to give you an idea. For that amount of money you could get a nice motor like an audi or vee-dub. Just look we can give you options at the end of the day it is your choice.

Mine's quite an old (1996) Jap WRX, so standard its 260 bhp, as long as u run it on 99 RON fuel, allthough mine has been modded, exhaust, filters etc

For 9k u will get a cracker, check out some of these...

Birdys car is very nice Magic. 2.2 Astra special edition Bolinger or something. Shit off a shovel springs to mind! Might have to stretch to 11k (ish) though..

...and also because if the turbo is knacked there is a good chance the engine will follow pretty soon.
