If the recent talk concerning the breakdown in talks between the club and the consortium prove to be correct, this now becomes even more important than it was before.

Surely this would be the ideal opportunity for a demonstration, if that is what people want?

Away from the players and not on a match day.

And all the targets in one place.........................

I say if anyone is serious about a demo, they should consider a boycott. Perhaps standing outside the ground for the full 90 mins?

And I also (before all 'knowledge') of this, said to Rich that the reason King was sacked was not solely or even primarily becuase of demos, but because people started to stay at home

Tbh Si, I don't think it would work.

If we were playing shit and not going for promotion it would be easy for people to stay away.....

I can't see thousands of people not going to the games at the moment and if I'm honest, I wouldn't wanna miss them either.

I'm just saying that your little demo outside the Arkells doesn't do anything. King left because of reduced gates. It just so happened that 100 or so people stayed outside the Arkells and chanted 'sack King' the week it happened.

I didn't say anything about a little demo outside anywhere.

I was merely highlighting that the forum would be the ideal place if people were going to demonstrate, as the people being demonstrated against would be there and they demonstraters couldn't be criticsed for affecting the players, as it wouldn't be on a match day.

And Kings reduced gates were as a result of the team being shite and not winning games.

If we weren't winning games now and gates fell, they would get rid of Sturrock, not themselves.

You will not get mass boycotts when the team's winning. It's as simple as that.

If we were winning why else would people boycott? I'm not saying you wanted or suggested a demo outside the Arkells, but others have suggested it. Reduced gates now would be a clear sign the board support was non existent or reducing.

We might not get mass boycotts, I'm not saying we will, but I am saying that it's the only way the board will listen.

I agree that the board would have to take notice if people stayed away, but it's a moot point, as they won't.

And I also don't think there'll be mass demonstrations, for the reason already stated.

The team is winning.

The majority of supporters are only concerned with what happens on the pitch and, whilst we may think thats short sighted, that's the truth.

I remember watching a Stoke City match on TV a few years back where the fans all came in about 15mins after kick off, maybe try something like that?
