So............to sum it up.
We've had a nod and a wink from Fred, Sonic seems to believe it(both good enough for me) but...........no speculation as to why things have gone tits up!

I demand speculation.........it's what keeps me going. Wink

Here's some speculation - talks seem to hit the wall a couple of days after the meeting with Andronikou/Hacker Young to discuss CVA repayment, that was due to take place on Thursday

Some more speculation - talks have ceased on the same day as Sturrock reportedly called for the postponement of our game against Rochdale.

Linked?

 Cheesy

I jest.

Perhaps talks have ceased because there's been progress with the CVA renegotiation? If so it'd surprise me as our major creditors would be highly unlikely to co-operate.

I'd assume that is one of the reasons too, youth.

I think we all know the board dont want to sell to the Trust/Fans Consortium/Mike Wilkes.

However, maybe.....just maybe.....they have found another investor? if this new person(s) can pay the CVA and help fund a new stadium then all of a sudden the board arent being corner in by the Trust/Fans Consortium/Mike Wilkes and have options.

They always said they had other offers, not that any of us ever believed them.

I bet it those damn americans!!

The club would want to completely sell to an investor, otherwise it's someone taking a slice out of their pie. If an investor is real and does take over the club, I would think it would be to make a profit and so Chippenham franchise football would be even more likely.

That's my point.

Whilst the Councl we know would refuse any renegotiation (based on what was said to Tony Norris by Nick Martin) their opionion doesn't count for anyting if the HMRCs share is 75% or more.

And there's nothing to suggest they'll refuse renegotiation - unless they've been given notice that there is another interested (and capable) party

Umm do you not think it may have gone belly up due to the current incumbents (by that I mean Diamandis) not wanting to sell and to keep any money from a redevelopment etc for themself as they are obviously still under the disalousment (sp ?) that they can make money, they will probably be happy to feed the consortium crumbs if they think it will keep people quiet as they think a takeover will happen.

Diamandis owns a brain washing machine and has used it on Seton & James....allegedly

They are bonkers if they think that they will get anything from a ground redevelopment. At the CG or J17.

They haven't got any assets and no money to invest.

The only people making money would be developers.

Fucking wankers.
