I wonder if its a condition of the negotiations I assume he was suspended on full pay?

Accepted "with regret" my arse. I doubt the major shareholder who had "lost confidence" in Devlin has any regrets.
Presumably this "mutual" agreement is in place of spending shed load of cash going through the courts. I guess it is best for both parties in that respect in that Mr Devlin can move on with his life/career.
I further wonder if this is part of ongoing negotiations between Power and the board over the £1 loan argument. I worry this is not a good sign for the consortium takeover bid and hope those in charge haven't found more investment to stave it off.
Good luck Mr D, hopefully we will see you back in the boardroom one day. Remember that resigning from the board of STFC is usually only temporary. Snady G and Bob Holt (twice) have done it, I'm sure you can too if this lot up sticks!

Not reading too much into this, not a surprise, will wait to hear where this fits in, in the grand scheme of things.
Anyone know when this weeks club representatives/Bill P & Phil E meeting is?

Best of luck to the guy.
I too was a tad cynical by that "regret" comment.

The way I see it fellas is, Devlin is a Bill Power-ophile, therefore it's in everyone's best interests if Mark D isn't connected to the club at this time as he may have a bit of a conflict of interest. Works for the board but allied to Bill P.
I'd welcome him back with open arms when the takeover is complete!!! As I'm sure would most supporters. Let's just "grin and bare" it!

Thanks for the kind words. I've nothing to add to the statement, except to thank you all again for your support, and best wishes following the air crash. The time has come to draw a line under things and look to the future and some opportunities that have been presented to me. Unfortunately I need to undergo an operation to remove the pins in my spine later this month and, once recovered, I will, hopefully, be able to come to a couple of games during the remainder of the season, and I feel sure the team can achieve promotion.

Oh well thats somwthing else they can blame Mark for when the accounts come out - if ever.
In light of the rubbish they spouted about him in the media, I assume that to go quietly and not pursue a claim for Constructive Dismissal he thought of a number doubled it then added a bit!! And good luck to him!!
When will the 'businessmen' who are wrecking this club learn.
Hope that Mark is off to the forum on Thursday night.
