Good luck ...... I left working in the private sector to work near home (Devizes) 9-5 in the public sector ..... now end up travelling almost as much as before ... all because I have a big gob!

yeah I agree ... I certainly earned a lot more in the private sector too (started in the public sector as well as finally returning to it) ... but at 52 Fred my eye is more on the final salary pension!! :old:

My pension is final salary based which is virtually unheard of nowadays, thats why I am glad to be in a large organisation that I can progress without starting over and being lumbered with a stakeholders
