Figment

Lovely, heavy, fuzzy songs nodding towards The White Stripes and The Rolling Stones, performed with slurry, sulky vocals, insolent swaggers and nasty growly antique guitars being elegantly massacred. - Venue Magazine

1 guitarist, 1 bassist, 1 drummer, 1 van, 2 years, over 100 gigs around the country, 30,000 miles and a love of good music - this is FIGMENT

A blossoming reputation as one of Bristols hottest live acts led to a slot opening the 2005 Ashton Court Festival and Bristol scene showcase The Gunpowder Plot in November 2005. Indeed praise from the music press has been unanimous. The band have earned favourable comparisons to The Rolling Stones, The White Stripes, The Clash, Nirvana and The Libertines. To describe these comparisons as complete though would be unfair, Figment still manage to retain a sound which is all their own stripping rock music back to its primal, gnarly basics with Lovely, Heavy, Fuzzy Songs.

Formed from the ashes of Latitude Blue (supported Jetplane Landing and appeared on a Deep Elm compilation), Seven Years On aim to build on the handful of well received shows played so far to win over a whole new set of fans. With a diverse list of influences including Pavement, Stereolab, Fugazi and Ben Folds Five, they lull the crowd into a false sense of security with the sweet caress of a pop melody, before poking them in the eye with a riff shaped finger.
