As touted by STFC board as a self made entrepeneur, living in close proximity to SSW.

According to the board he had gone away for Xmas but the investment would "develop" upon his return.

Bit quiet on that front isn't it ?

I wonder

Don't under estimate the board though Fred, I fully expect this story to come brawling out of the woodwork again very soon.

Its up to the ordinary fans like us Rich to keep banging on to counteract the propaganda coming from Newbury....the likes of Gazza have shown how easily the gullible can be taken in by a bit of spin.

I'm not sure if I doubt that they may talk to someone, and had someone in mind - but I very much doubt that it's on the same scale as what the Trust is offering.

I've got to be honest, I don't care who's in charge, so ong as it's not this lot(because they've proved untrustworthy) and so long as they don't even consider a move to Chippenham .

He/she/it has clearly gone the same way as the investor James Wills was 'at advance stages' with just BEFORE the AGM where re-election was taking place

I'll be honest and make it known to all. Im the mystery investor. Im actually due to win the lottery in 5 weeks time. Its going to be a massive rollover and i will win 20 million. Im then going to become the majority shareholder in the club.

The club are just stalling till I win. Please keep it amongst yourselves as I dont want the press to know.

oh, so you are the "potential" they talked about.  I did suggest it might be that we'd purchased a bunch of lottery tickets but didn't think they were that organised to be fair.

I can just imagine the STFC board syndicate gathering around the tv together on a Saturday night now.

Martyn dribbling all over Dale's latest tan !

Sandy asking the group, "could you help me with this, I get confused with all these different numbers"

Diamond Mike saying "Fucking Camelot !, why dont they go insolvent so I could buy them for a quid"

Funnily enough, I found an old copy of The 69er fanzine going back to October '98. In the editorial, the board (then headed by the infamous Rikki Hunt) said that they had a £2m investor coming on board.

Funnily enough, that didn't happen either !!!

I'm still waiting for the one million transfer budget and racing world investors promised in 2001.  Come on where is it and where are they?  We were told at the press conference it would be forthcoming and I’ve not herd anything to the contrary since.

Six years on after their arrival we are being run on the prospect of a fantasy stadium and land development and off the back of our majority shareholder.  If you actually total the loan amounts from SSW, our esteemed holding company, Shaw Park Developments Ltd and St Modwen we owe more money to creditors (some of it indirectly)  now than before we went into administration!
