I'd have kept hold of him, thought he got better and better under Wise and it's a bit harsh for Sturrock to not even have one look at him.

Not sure about the wisdom in letting a promotion rival have him either.

AND no mention of a fee.

I'm all for backing Sturrock but he's got this wrong.

I honestly can't see how you can say he's got it wrong Dave.  Sturrock watched him in training and decided the bloke isn't good enough for League 2 let alone League One, where PS hopes we will be next season.  By selling a player who isn't good enough for League Two to a promotion rival is a cracking idea.  Hopefully it'll take them a while to work out what we already know.

However if we let Monky move to Hartlepool....

Good decision - like Reg said yesterday, Luggy's all on first impressions - we all had the same first impression of Fola - he doesn't have the fundamental, basic attributes to be a good player - basic skill and intelligence.  He may be quick and a handful, but that's no good without the basics - and that's what you can judge within ten minutes of watching him play.

Remember the Lincoln match towards the Town End/North Stand corner, and Fola beats two men brilliantly and then stumbles over his own feet and it rolls out of play! Summed him up in one short move!

Against Brentford I thought he could be useful - caused them no end of problems - but no end product and there's better out there. He's a novelty player and not many teams can afford that

Also add the fact that at 12 feet tall he should be able to win the odd header but cant. :-))(

3 points to raise..

1. until you've seen him play a proper game you cannot judge for sure, surely?
2. show me one source that says we've sold- i.e. fgot a fee- for him?
3. if he's not good enough why did he score goals, start for us and sign for wycombe?

Everyone seems to think that sturrock had not seen Fola play before he turfed him out. Surely his scouting network could have had him watched before he took over, or maybe he has watched shed loads of videos of our games before taking over or maybe he just saw him in training and thought, "my god, this guy is truely shite, fuck off ya dobber!"

The funny thing is, the only argument is that Sturrock didnt give him a chance and not as to whether he was any good or not!

Sturrock's take on Fola, was that he had too many raw edges and that he didn't have time, (or I suppose inclination) to iron them out.

Again with Luggy its first impressions.....thats his way of doing things, time will tell whether he's right or wrong.

Personally I'm disappointed as the Onion Bhaji chant was quality.

The boy sure could run though! (apparently)

The Accrington Stanley performance summed Fola up. Plenty of effort but not good enough.

Sorry Dave that wasn't my point.  My point was that if STURROCK feels Fola wasn't good enough and is convinced he can bring someone he feels is better then I would like to wait and see what PS has up his sleeve before saying that PS got it wrong.
