my internet connection seems really slow through my router.

after over 3½ hoiurs connected this is how fast it is

yet when i attach my old modem it is 100x faster.

is there something restricting my router.

it's a Netgear DG834 v2

Mine is about the same as yours Magic.  And I use the Netgear router. I have a wirless computer connecting to it also.

Saying that. I used to use a modem and it seemed faster. it connected to my PC through USB.
Now my router connects to my Ethernet port? Can that make any difference? My speed should be 8 meg.
