Bit weird to retire 2 games into a 5 game series?

Maybe he was persuaded to stay on and now that the Ashes are as good as Australia's he's off.

It was a bit of a shock this morning when i found out. Good player and also a cheap wicket for the opponents. He is 35 years old.

Just before his home test, and the aussies winning the ashes back as well....you would have thought he could stomach getting out cheaply again if they were about to win that little urn at his home ground!
