Mark Bowen assistant to Hughes at Blackburn, highly rated as an assistant in his own right, tipped for management and comes across as passionate and articulate with strong views on how the game should be played.
That said it’s all a fucking gamble but I’d rather back someone who is either still in a job and doing well like Nijholt or Clough or go for a prospect such as Speed or Bowen rather than a tired managersacked from his last job like Sturrock.
Still going to give Williams a sporting chance mind.

I definitley don't want macari, he's in the past now and i don't think he would be any good these days, he hasn't managed since he got huddersfield in the playoffs about 4-5 years ago.
Don't want ling/bodin either or chalky white, i would like sturrock, if not then i would go for nijholt, my 3rd choice would be someone like malcolm crosby/stuart mccall/nigel pearson.

I think the poll where macari has 30% of the vote is aload of rubbish.
If the board want to know who the fans want then i suggest they keep tabs on this poll, it's better than a texting poll that is inaccurate.
Why 30% of fans want macari i don't know, nothing against the man, he did brilliant here and done alot for us but he's history, we need to look to the future not live in the past.

Discussed Nigel Pearson when Wise first left but he ahs since become Newcastles assistant manager so I would be suprised if he left so soon.
Got be Sturrock or Nijholt for me, both fill me with excitement that we can do well this year.

I think we should all start emailing martyn starnes ( martyn@swindontownfc.co.uk) saying who we want as our new manager. IMO cliff puffet has got it all wrong, if true i am glad the board are willing to listen to the supporters views on who they want as manager but if puffet thinks the fans want ling/bodin or steve white then he is sadly mistaken.

I dont care who the manager is as long as they take us up out of this piss poor shit heap of a fucking league.
This is my one token 4th division football season. I will not come back next year if we have to play the likes of Barnet, Accrington and Shewsbury again
