Do you pay for that each month or is it a one of payment. Thinking of getting a laptop as i've got the money now.

My exchange went down the other month. Apparently it was just our house. Took BT several days to sort it, so I was without a phone and net for a bit.
Piemonte: Is the adsl light on the router on? The line may have dropped, or the connection with the broadband got disconnected. Try turning the router off for 10-15 seconds then switching it on again.
It could just be a problem withthe card connecting to the router, which is probably more likely.

OK.
- BT phone line is working (calls made) - PC is picking up signal from router (excellent quality too) - However will not do anything when trying to get on net - ADSL light on router is on
- I've tried repairing the connection which renews the IP address and has normally worked in the past when it has a funny 5 minutes - I've tried disconecting then reconnecting to network - I've opened up the PC to check the card has not come lose or anything silly like that
So basically I cant see any reason at all why it is not working

Just double check your wireless connection is cool by logging into the routers config page. If you're not sure what the address is let me know the model and I'll find out.
If you're using filters disconnect everything in the house, especially Sky it can be a cuntjob to broadband and then attempt a connection with a different filter and with the router plugged directly into the NTE (socket).

There's probably a problem with the exchange them.
Does the ADSL light periodically go off then reconnect for short periods?
Can you get into the router settings? (192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.2 are the most common IPs to check)
Tbh i don't know why i'm trying to help, my BB is fucked (the exchange is having problems!) and i'm leaving work now, so can't get online until tomorrow.

BT took my office line out on Monday morning. Called BT who spent two days saying they will erset teh line. Called up Tuesday afternoon and the line had been re set at 10.30am on Monday, despite calling 4 times since then BT failed to tell me. It knocked out all my settings and this made my network crash. Had 40k of clients money in on monday anmd had to do it at home last night.
BT then had the cheek to call tonight and check I was happy with the service! bunch of cunts.
