Swindon fans were in shock last night when it was revealed that their new signing, Dobbin Ace, is in fact a 9 year old ex-champion show jumper. Chairman Willie Carson, who is thought to have sold the horse to the club, unveiled the Belgian Warmblood to waiting press at 3pm yesterday afternoon. The news announcement soon slipped into anarchy when Dobbin became clearly distressed by the bright flashing lights from the photographers. Vets were called to the scene and Dobbin was quickly bought down with tranquiliser darts. It is believed that an examination of the horse revealed a large amount of strong steroids in its system.
Swindon police have confirmed that a man is being questioned for Drug offences and Animal Cruelty in relation to the event. Nobody at the club was available to comment.

I think the club have done the right thing really. They could have signed more donkeys but they've seen sense and brought in real quality.
