Ady WIlliams is the caretaker manager after Tuttle said he didn't want to do it. Williams will be in charge of the team on Saturday

According to Points West...

Good News potentially, the best internal appointment we could make, obviously a bigger name, higher profile chunk of experience would make me happy but I like Williams and his role in improving the defence this season has been huge.

Id rather have Adie Williams than Tuttle. Would probably be ok if he did get the job permanently as he has all the right attributes.

Obviously not my ideal candidate, but better than Tuttle or bringing back Iffy or (gasp) King!

Williams isn't a long term answer. He is too untried and untested and also has been one of the lads. If we go for a player manager it has to come from outside the club IMHO.

R4E was your original post a joke or has Williams really been put in charge?

God love Ady Williams but what a fuck up when you have no backroom staff willing to stay on and work as caretaker.

Me too.  Although he may require a little "trial and error" period.

That's the problem with the manager bringing in his entire own staff, thay all tend to leave when he does, that said I can see no harm in Tuttle staying for another few days if required.  I can see Ifil as caretaker assistant coaching from the bench on saturday as he's suspended!  In the 'good old days' a fella like Trollope here or Tony parkes at Blackburn could always step into the breach as a caretaker when required, but alas McMahon and co got rid of many of the old guard at the club.

No body who knows what's been going on behind the scenes wants to work with a certain member of this board. Arrogant amateur was a phrase used. Who could that be?
