I wouldnt offer odds on a horse with only three legs, but needless to say if its the only one racing it'll still win! (my point being our board are less than perfect but i'd still never back them with a wager no matter how sure I was!)

If they really wanted him they'd have had him at the first attempt, but we're not even considering that Wise and Poyet may not want to go there themselves, so even if the board accepted an offer for them to talk again with Wise and Poyet they may still say no themselves personally.....which for what its worth I think Wise would say no and stay put as its better for his career!

He'll be around long enough in the management game to be there the next time Leeds need a new manager, if he does want that particular job that bad!!

I think you have indeed  been on the Mary Jane if you really believe that. If Wise didn't want it he would have said no and that would have been that. It wouldn't have got as far as PR from both sides stating ongioing discussions, etc, etc.

....in which case why has the situation got anywhere near where we are at now?

All Wise would have to say is that he does not want to go and this would have been nipped in the bud. It wasn't, so you have to assume that it is a move that he wants.

Nail on head. If Wise wasn't interested why would the clubs bother discussing compensation?

Assumption made an ass out of u and mption!

The way I understand it works is that the club (leeds) have to ask the other club (swindon) permission to talk to the management (Dennis and Gus) and then it is there chance to offer them a contract and if they want they can still decline it......

Our board cant be seen to simply be saying NO becuase in the contract it says we have to say yes as long as we get sufficient compensation....so as soon as they say they want to talk to dennis and gus we are automatically going to be in the spotlight for saying yes subject to compensation agreement......doesnt mean that wise and poyet WANT to manage Leeds does it!

And Dennis doesnt have to come out to us, the leeds fans or anyone and say I dont want the job.....he's a head down and focus manager so I'm sure if and when the time comes that he is offered a contract (if he is allowed to discuss it with Leeds) then he will give a yes or no answer then and only then!

He has said repeatedly that he wants to get on with the football, so thats when i will judge him......WHEN HE makes a decision or statement about his future.....at present though, if I was Dennis I wouldnt want to add fuel to the fire either, I'd want to keep my options open!

......full circle back to my main point - if he wants the move, he has come here and said one thing and then done another.

It's not the fact the he's going that I mind, nor even the fact that he might be pi$$ed off with the board - it's the fact that he stated that he wants to work his way up from the bottom and then goes to a team two divisions higher. I genuinely would not mind if he went to another League Two team, as that would still mean that his arrival comments were true and not a load of bull.

HE HAS NOT FUCKING GONE YET!!!!!
for fuck sake, it'll piss us all off if he goes but for fuck sake until he is declared as leaving he is still OUR manager!
No wonder our club is so fucked up with fans that jump on every band wagon and assume everything is as bad as it can ever get because we have had a lot of bad luck in the past!

Get over it, he may leave he may not......but until we know either way from HIM then shut it!

Sorry bad day but I had to let it out!
