"However, Swindon are desperate to retain the former Chelsea midfielder, who worked for Leeds chairman Ken Bates during his time at Stamford Bridge, and have offered Wise an improved deal to stay"

if thats true, nice to see the board making a challenge for once.

It's a play it safe comment by the board that suggests they give a shit - they have to do that.

Just like it when players and managers say to the media "I'm happy to be here" etc etc etc.

Of course, you were there bart and know that for a fact. Or - let me guess here- the truth will come out eventually?

I believe it happened, I dont think it will have any effect though. Shares in a company worth fuck all wouldnt tempt me to stay.

i love the notion of offering a shareholding in the club, surely they are as a big a disincentive as anyone could want!

whys all this the boads fault. even without the spackers we have behind the scenes, im sure wise will have wanted to join leeds anyway. Its not a hard decision really.

It's not the boards fault this time - But there's always comments flying around in a time of potential football heartbreak !!!
