This man has left us in the shit. I appreciate that hes had a plane crash thats going to completely change his view on life so therefore he no longer wants anything to do with Swindon. So how about we all just accept that fact and support the club in going forward. Because at the end of the day however shit you say this board is, at least we've still got a team to support.

If you cant see a future in Swindon Town F.C then i suggest you find another team to support.

Its not a dig at Bill Power whatsoever. All im saying is that whats done is done. Regardless of whoevers fault it is or whose done this or that its happened. Theres no point in dwelling on it and getting angry about it. Bill Power has gone, some people have decided they would rather support Bill Power than Swindon Town. Well thats how it seems anyway.
Like i said, no dig at BP whatsoever.

well as much as I dont 'blame' Bill Power, if we're honest, crash or no crash...if you invest money in something then its a bit harsh to suddenly pull out and take your money with you......I mean lets face it....if Power hadnt of been here then we wouldnt have signed or even thought about signing Ince - hence we wouldnt be in the mess with overspending (at least not as much anyway)Huh?

Eithwer way I dont blame Power he has every right to change his view on life, however i am a strong believer that if you put your name or your money to something then you stick to it......crash or no crash, win or lose.....what you put in up front stays in, but continual investment is flexible.

In my Opinion anyway......
cue slagging off for not completely siding with Power!

Do you have any direct affiliation with the board Run the Bath? Or are you simply new to the forum?

The latter.

If i had a nice sum of money i wouldnt invest it in a football club, i'd invest it in a state of the art box for me to enjoy the beautiful game   Cheesy

:nono:
now you dont wanna do that! (who was it that used to say that???)
I already have it worked out how much i need to win on the lottery to be able to make a serious enough impact on Swindon Town.....sad hey, but it would be the first calls I made if I won, to arrange a meeting with the board....
(after I have my merceded 65 AMG to turn up in - dont wanna look common in my Seat Ibiza now do I!!)

if he bought into the club through shares then surely he has as much right to buy and sell those shares as you or i

i dont imagine when you buy shares you say 'oh no i cant sell them because "what you put in up front stays in, but continual investment is flexible" '

If i won say £10 million i would use it to my best advantage. So therefore wouldnt even think of investing in a football club. £100 Million perhaps i would think about a lower league club. Bearing in mind i still need money to live off and buy flash cars and houses etc..

If i was to fully enjoy running a football club i'd have to be a billionairre at least.

Anyway im gonna give myself a slap in the face and get back to reality...

you get me all wrong Boeta.....he is trying to simply take his money back....which if it is definately in the shares (solely) then there is no problem as he is not 'pulling his money out' as people suggest but simply as you state 'selling them' - which in the long run is no loss to us as we still benefit from the money.

The concern comes if he is allowed to simply 'give' them back to SSW.....he should have to sell them as you or I would with ours......

Now I dont clain to know the full in's and out's of shares, i'm a property law man myself but it doesnt seem like if it is shares he has that it will cause us any harm if he wants his money as someone else has to take them over?? am i wrong??

Run the Bath......you must have ideas of a 'very' luxurious lifestyle if you had serious money!

YOu know with £10 mil and todays interest rated you would be earning around £500,000 a year tax free to live off!!! thats nearly £42,000 a month!!!
I'm pretty sure you could afford a few quid here or there to help!!

Either way you dont have £10 mil.....neither do I (YET!!!) so we're tlaking poppy cock..... Yes
