For those of you who want this board to dissapear, here you have your answer......
"The Board acknowledges that the way the events of the last week have been inaccurately reported have generated anger and frustration amongst certain sections of the STFC fanbase. The Board also recognises the rights of fans protest peacefully and welcomes discussions with fans to air their concerns. The Board, however, cannot condone the personal insults, slurs and attacks that have been directed towards its members and advisors in recent days. Sir Seton Wills has expressed his personal concern, and should the health, welfare and safety of the board and its advisors, their families, or property, be compromised in any way then Sir Seton will have to consider his continued financial support for the club, the consequences of which are obvious."
Translation = Carry on insulting and pissing them off and they will cut all ties and bugger off

I for one appreciate the fact they have gone tot he effort of keeping us informed of the situation and secondly whether people believe it as propogander or truth, i for one appreciate the job MD has done for us over the years.....
From the real Swindon Town supporters - thank you MD.
If its £750,000 we need a year, why doesnt someone stop slagging off the board and find a way of helping raise the monies?!?!
Any ideas anyone?

Any ideas anyone? thats not 100% true though is it? numerous people have wanted to invest over the last 10 years but the current boards reluctance to allow anyone to do this has meant we have had to carry on struggling |

this board aren't and never will be interested in investors, hence why've they've got shot of power
they want the whole lot buy them out so sw gets his money back or they will wait for redevelopment and get it back that way. sw and md arent about to cut their losses they will stick it out
its not altogether unreasonable but unfortunately they're aren't many people going about who can afford the job lot straight off and from what they've shown in the skills department over the past few years there's about as much chance of them being able to sort out the redevelopment as there is the pope becoming an islamic terrorist

I don't think it's true to say they wanted Power out either, just that their actions may well have created the situation and they are unable to admit to them.
I'm sure they are not stupid enough to actually turn down money like his, they did let him in originally. They are just incapable of dealing with such an investor or it appears running the club without imploding every so often.

Spot on Rob. I think they have tried to squeeze Power.
But they were even incompetant in trying to rip him off. They could have probably ripped him off for years, and reaped the benefits of much improved teams and attendances. But no, Mike D has to be the hard bargainer, has to push one step too far. What are they going to get now? They cant run the club, they are a joke.
