As far as I can see they dont have any intention of investing in us. It took a genuine football man to come in and turn this club around, and he didnt even have any previous connection to STFC.
We'll never go anywhere with this lot. No investor will work with this board again. Whats most annoying is they dont seem to care what the fans think, they dont speak to us. They dont feel that they have to.
All they care about is a few homes when the stadium is redeveloped. And everyone buys it. Why? Yeah, not like the Wills family has ever invested anything in the club. The bar stewards. Im sorry Tails. Im sick and tired of the state of this club. Im sick of boardroom people telling us that they saved STFC, STFC is a blackhole and so on. When they are the ones taking money out of the club to finance endless attempts at a new stadium which the fans arent really interested in. How much was spent on Shaw Tip? More than our record transfer fee ever. Weve got 2000 more fans on everyone else in this league, we could be a good club. OK SSW has invested in us. But what will his legacy be at the club? Inflicting us with the anonymous shady Newbury bunch and Sandy dimwit gray. Thats unfair, but ive got the rage beyond belief. Are we destined to failure forever because of overspending in the early/mid 1990's? Bill Power invested in us, and made a difference so we cant be that far gone. And i tell you one other thing. For the FIRST TIME IN YEARS we got a reduction in ticket prices this summer. I didnt expect that, but many people took it for granted. Expect 23 quid again next season. Shout scream, say whatever you want, they dont give a shit. They will fuck us over again. |

Yeah, you are correct. We sailed close to the wind. But do we deserve to support a club that is rotten ad infinitum? Getting cast offs from other clubs. Having to be grateful for a conference team (99-02 and 05-06) and paying the highest prices in the league for it (00-06)?
And one other massive thing Ive got to get off my chest. Quite often you hear a chairman say 'if someone who can take the club forward comes along, Il move aside'. Could you EVER, EVER, EVER imagine anyone in our current lot EVER making that sort of statement? They dont care if the club moves forward or not. They want their property deals. And then they pull our heartstrings and take advantage of our love for the club.
Except this time I dont think we will be quite so apathetic. A million isnt a lot in football (really) and it shown what a difference it makes. THEY OWE US THIS TIME. Im sick of you failing us board, selling us short. DONT EXPECT ME TO BE GRATEFUL ANYMORE! You wankers.
The ground is going nowhere. Your interest in the team has been proved to be miserly. Shape up or fuck off.

the thing that has angered me most in this thread if fatters suggesting l&p should arrange something....
L&P (for most of the time) are just people who put out a few flags and cutouts.....they have no so or no envolvment in the running of the club
As Rob rightly points out, thats what the Trust is for....
Yet, they go unnoticed and you think L&P.....
has everyone gone fucking stupid...

Whilst I believe L&P as such shouldn't really get involved, I'm changing my opinion. I know you are just having fun Reg, but I'm sure you are actually quite concerned.
If it came to it, and it might do soon, I'd suggest it to the people who have coughed up cash and do what was necessary.
The Trust are the correct vehicle for proper change though. I would suggest people join. After several years trying to stay out of that side of things and then thinking it would cause issues with being a member of the two, I'm off to join I think.
We just purchased 75m by 2m of Red Material, maybe we could end up using it!!

if we were to protest, it should be as one....l&p, supporters club, trust...and regular fans....
if anything it should be trust branded, they are certainly more involved within the club than the other lot...
