Anyone thinking about the conspiracy theory? (Apologies if I sound like STFC_Bart!)

I'm sure when he signed there was a weird statement in the official release about the future at Swindon was certain or something.
Was he signed in the knowledge that Wise had been sounded out about the Leeds job, and therefore he's a caretaker manager ready to take over?

Just a theory - probably worse than Bart's.

It would seem a natural progression when the time is right.

Now is NOT the right time for all parties I feel, not least STFC

that would suggest Bates knew he was going to sack Blackwell for sure weeks ago (because we started after Ince in the summer).  Can't see that Bates is the sort of man to then let the current Manager have another 8 games or so before getting around to it, thus wasting the pre season.

Still can't see why Wise would really be the favourite or even 2nd favourite for such a job as the Leeds one right now.  If I was Leeds fan, he wouldn't be top of my list.

Ince as manager, wouldn't be exactly over the moon at that move.

Now Incey as Leeds manager, now that'd be alright.

It was common knowledge for weeks beforehand that he was going to take Glenda to Chelsea tho Rob

Blackwell's been favourite for the sack for about two years - Bates has always been looking to replace him with a new manager.

Chelsea's season had finished a few weeks before ours though, we didn't play the play off final til May 30th was it?  Chelsea had finished early May. So he didn't keep a manager on for the sake of it back then.

Having listened to Wise on RS at 4:30,  sounded like he's expecting to be off.

This would of course please the Board  as we'd get a tidy compensation for Wise Poyet Tuttle and Lee.

My gut instinct is that Ince would be a bit of a disaster....I suppose a return for Iffy shouldn't be ruled out.....but I think Ady Williams should throw his hat into the ring.

With you there, I can't see it being a success personally but who knows?

I really really hope it won't be an issue though....

He was certainly upset about Linda losing her job! Not sure how to take his refusal to answer questions about Leeds. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
