If that is true, then one might guess that the problem is something along the lines of:

1. Power indicates that in principle he would part/solely fund the Ince deal.

2. Power then became uncontactable as a result of the plane crash

3. Wills family steps into the breach to fund the Ince deal initially, since if hasty action hadn't been taken, the deal wouldn't have gone through

4. Wills family representative, Mr Diamandis tries to follow up on point 1, presumably made quite difficult due to point 2

5. Confusion ensues

6. Press gets wind of some dissatisfaction

7. STFC Bart gets extremely excited

right here is the story in full from the WDP website

Quote
Swindon TOWN's power brokers will meet today and try to resolve the issues that have left the club mired in rumour and controversy since the weekend. The Daily Press understands that Bill Power's business partner, Phil Emmel, will hold 'clear the air talks' with the Wills family in a bid to avoid a boardroom split.

There has been intense speculation that a top-level dispute is already underway and rumours that majority shareholder Sir Seton Wills is about to sell-up, perhaps to Power.

However, Town director Bob Holt has strongly denied that such a rift exists and has also stated that no talks have taken place about a change of ownership.

What is clear is that there is real concern over a budget overspend and that there is some degree of tension between Swindon chiefs.

The Daily Press understands that some of this tension is between Power and Sir Seton's advisor, Mike Diamandis.

Holt said in yesterday's Daily Press that the deal to bring Paul Ince to the club was agreed without the 'appropriate consultation' with the board.

Chief executive Mark Devlin initially handled that deal and he has strongly denied that he acted inappropriately.

The situation has been harder to resolve because Devlin and Power, who is understood to have already invested £1million since coming to the club this summer, are currently recovering from a plane crash.

As well as dealing with the overspend, today's meeting will try to ensure that the two major financial players - Sir Seton and Power - can work together in the future.

If that cannot be agreed, then it seems Power will have to consider whether or not he wants to launch a takeover bid.

sounds interesting. hopefully it will be resolved today otherwise it could lead to BP leaving or taking over completely
