Over the years there as been a lot of talk about doing a new ground in some part of swindon which i think would be beneficial not only to the club but the town its self there was a lot of talk about becoming a city at one stage to .. But of course a lot of people around the town have objections to it aka building a new ground not in my back yard etc..But over the years i notice a lot of changes within swindon until i moved to usa a year ago. u have a lot of firms built new factorys and moved back out for one reason or another its not as if swindon town football club would do this. also not only that but if the stadium was built big enough maybe it could be used for alsorts of things and also who knows but have international games at the ground club concerts off season also maybe if running track was built could also do some sort of olympic bid ok maybe thinking big here but do people agree its about time the council and the people started to think big to...i think it would create many jobs for the town also instead of negative thoughts about building a new stadium wot about the benefits it could bring...also if the ground was built with other sports failities it could benefit not only swindon but the south west all over?

No, I can assure you everyone is thinking big.

The Oasis leisure center is due to be torn down and, guess what there are plans to build houses on the land....meaning the town is down on leisure facilities....and they need to be re-built somewhere....oh oh why not at the County Ground.

Alot of good people have put alot of time and effort into these sorts of things.

I know it appears to be going slowly and I know alot of what is happening isnt public....buts its doing alright.....trust!

I love how Americans talk.

Dallas, Texas. Surely if you say Dallas then people will know which one you mean. Or do they confuse it with the popular TV series?

Well new grounds apear to be going up like no tomorrow (Shrewsbury, Chesterfield, Donny, Col U)

My worry is that we are falling behind- we need these extra revenue streams to compete, and will be at a distinct disadvantage on the field to other clubs otherwise

Its all very well saying lets get the team right but this is all down to moey available- hence the revenue streams a new ground/redevelopment would bring
