nice to see thom yorke smile for once, i wanted him or the jazz lady zoe rahman to win, her performance was brilliant.
went to the arctic monkeys though, they seemed nice chaps.

Th Artics Monkeys are soooooo young.
The right choice as far as im concerned those chaps made the albm of the year for me..

after last years slightly odd choice, it was gonna be summat mainstream-ish... pleased for them, but sooooo soooo glad it wasnt muse, singers voice is fucking horrendous!!!

I liked hope there's someone. The mercury award is the only decent music award around, arctic monkeys are worthy winners but I'd probably have gone for the editors or muse, both superb albums.

As mentioned in other thread.
I think Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan's album "Ballad of Broken Seas" is really good.
Probably as I have a bias opinion of the genius that is Lanegan.
