Cheesy As Clarkson once said "It's doesn't do anything for me, it's just a lump of car" (or something to that effect) -On the new BMW 3 series (Hyundai in disguise).

To be fair they're good in all areas, but they are common and have no charm.

I'd have any Alfa, bar the Alfa Sud, any day of the week over almost any car.

Alfas make me hard.

Review of the S2000.

Good Points
Looks good

Bad Points
Lacklustre performance, engine needs revving hard, lethal in the wet. Great for track but no use at all for on road. Very disappointing car

General Comments
I regret to say after buying my dream car, the Honda S2000, and driving it for 12 months I am very disappointed with it. After two close smashes, one where I turned 180 degrees in the wet I had to get rid of it. Definately an overrated car. Do not buy one.

If you love Hondas so much, go all retro and buy an NSX.

You can't feel your hair blowing in the wind, but at least you won't look like a gay hairdresser.

People, people. You don't understand the ethics of Honda.

''The engine needs reving hard''

Thats the whole point! People who buy S2000's don't expect to ride on a crest of torque and float away. You have to DRIVE the car, it's a 'drivers car'.

As for calling it a hairdressers car  :-))(

It has a 2.0 litre VTEC engine that produces 246 bhp and you can rev it to 9k rpm with a spine tingling howl to enjoy as you do it.

It's a rear wheel drive sports car with serious power and seriously quick around a track, b road you name it.

Rant over. Just annoys me when people say ''you have to rev the tits off it''  :-))(

Thats what Type R's and Honda performance cars are about! No turbo or supercharging, just normally asspirated machines with driving pleasure in mind. Long may it continue.

P.S. Sonic, i love the BMW M3 but a 5 year old E46 model is still over £20k

Alfa Romeo Brera 3.2 JTS V6. With options it's a steal at £33,700

it could be the fastest, most powerful car in the world but it would still make you look like a camp hairdresser as you mince through town with the roof down.
