Personally, i always had a soft spot for the ST arrow version...when I was 13 I met a girl at Butlins who supported West Ham. On the last night I gave her my ST pin badge in an effort to get inside her knickers...didn't work...regretted it ever since Bless I know, i loved that badge. Frigid Bitch!

The current badge was designed to represent a fresh start at the club. After the bad press due to the financial irregularities thing, STFC decided to 're-brand' the club, and signal a new dawn. We wont go back to the previous one for these reasons. The current one is very good, and has stood the test of time (albeit only 14 or so years). Anyway, hello everyone. Nice to meet you all, and im sure some will be 'absolutely delighted' to see me posting on here!!

signalled a new dawn which was the worst time in the clubs history, were now at the end of that 'worst period'....the exact reason we should go back to the old one.

We're in the bottom tier of the footy league, let's get out first. How can you say 14 years ago was the worst time in the cub's history, it was the best time for many

Oh dear!!!!!! :-))( We were 'demoted' back in 1990 for financial irregularities. When Hoddle came in, we changed the logo to signal a 'fresh start', and gained Premiership status 2 seasons later. Regardless of the piss poor teams we have had representing us over the past few years, we have never needed a clean slate as much as we did after the heartbreak of demotion!

because it was the only time for many....obviously we were in the premier league but since then its all been shit.
i supose its what a badge means to you personally and to me it represents the club in administration, in debt, ricky hunt and all that shit unfortunately...others may see it representing our premiership season.

And a div 2 title. not the best achievments but we haven't done anything in the last 5 years, let alone 2 to warrant the 'new era' label

All i would say is if we were to change the crest, i dont think it would be appropriate to go back to the one from the Macari/Hillier days.
However.........We did win the League Cup wearing the traditional one.
