i went to the rugby yesterday and all i can say is i'm glad i'm a football fan. didn't think the game was that exciting and the pitch was a friggin mess! glad i went because i've never seen a game of any type in cardiff and it was an expierance but rugby union is not for me.

brings me back to that old song.

If you can't play football play rugby    Wink

No, rugby is shit.

I think England should deliberately have a crap rugby team. Just so all the other Provinces of the Union can beat us at something.

i'm usually patriarchal when it comes to everything. but i usually support anyone who plays against england in rugby. i hate rugby fans, and i hate people who say rugby is better than football.

i only watch the rugby if england are playing and it is and will never be as good or better than football. football is the best team sport ever created. variations such as American, Rugby, Aussie Rules and Women's  Wink  are all inferior

I didn't even realise we were playing yesterday until the evening and I live in the city where the game was. I slept through every single game in the rugby world cup too, I agree we should have a crap team, let Wales win, they never win anything else.

The best thing about the Rugby world cup was that for the final everyone had got up early and cracked open the tinnies. The knock on of which was that by 3pm when Swindon played QPR the atmosphere was absolutely top notch. I doubt you could have found a sobre adult in the entire Town End and even the South was very lively. That was the best Swindon crowd last season for my money, and one of the best celebrations - when Parkin put us one up.

Even a staunch anti rugby man like myself dipped the cap that day (if just for a day).

If you dont like rugby then hearing Tim fucking Russon talk about the 'cherry whites' (sickly sweet nickname) every monday before the football is usually enough to send you over the edge.

Rugby is a game which is best played rather than watched, although a really cracking game is very good, unfortunately these are a bit infrequent, and an average game is pretty dire viewing.

Have been to a good few showpiece games down the years, and is of course an ideal excuse for getting absolutely bladdered , in a convivial atmospere

Rugby's a great game.  The one thing I hate about sports fans is the whole my sports better than yours, and yours is shit by the way, attitude.

Fair enough if you don't like it, don't watch it.  I love most sports I could happily sit and watch any sport.

Personally I think the average rugby match is more exciting than a the average football game, but that's just my opinion.  I think rugby's played in a better spirit too, but I do love my football.

I quite enjoy watching England play and the World Cup was quality, but I struggle for find any passion for other international games (outside of the WC) and club rugby just bores me.

Fair weather England supporters, that kind of supporter wasn't too irratating during the world cup, pretending they liked the sport just cos they were winning.  Glory supporters!!!!!
