Reflecting on the victory at the Conference side, Wise said: “It was good.

“I thought the back four in the first half (Jack Smith, Ady Williams, Jerel Ifil and Jamie Vincent) did extremely well.

“We’ve done a lot of work with those four.”

And seeing two of his strikers on target did not go unnoticed either.

Raeding that it looks that he has sorted his prefered back four

i'd agree with that. ifil looked at his best alongside reeves/heywood when he was first with us because he always had that voice and experience backing him up. he went a bit to pot when he had silent o'hanlon as company.
williams offers us what reeves used to and hopefully he's not just a quality aqcuisiton because of his experience and ability, but it might also resurect ifil, ergo we've actually signed two quality centre backs in one  Cool

good news with vincent because it keeps nicholas out of the side and jack smith looked handy in bursts last year, hopefully he can push on this season and claim that right back slot.

when the money is decided at the tribunal for o'hanlon i would like to see that money spent on a centre back.you could have john terry playing next to ifil but it wont give him the ability to pass a football to a team mate or control the ball in the first place! :-))(

Mistakes on Wednesday, under no pressure, against a smaller side give me very little confidence in Ifil Sad

He'll be good this season with an expirenced head by

Also, arriba he managed to pass the ball on many occasions Wednesday....infact apart from one it was a perfect pass completeion ratio

I'd take Gurney at centre back over Ifil. Still it's all about opinions.

Yeah you can't leave Gurney out the side, he's our best player bar none.
