They kill a game off good and proper, but given the resources it's pretty damn good. Given more playing talent he wouldn't necessarily play like that I think

definitely si, he can only work with what he's got and considering bolton's limited budget they play some decent stuff. it wasn't too long ago they were a div1 side.

£400k for hamann too!

Allardyce is a top manager, to do as well as he's done consistently at a club as small as Bolton is very impressive. I don't even think the football they play is particularly unattractive compared to most premiership sides, they're very physical but it works well for them. Shame he's not the new England manager.
