we had a raging debate over this today (slow day)
i make it the same way surely everyone does, that is to say i put the tea/coffee etc in a dry mug, add the necessary sugar, then add the hot water after, leaving an inch or so to add the milk as the last action, then stir.
for instance, one of the others puts the milk in first, then adds the tea or coffee- surely making a sludgey mess?

I always put sugar in first and then tea/coffee and then milk. Although if I make tea in the pot then i put the milk in before the tea, wierd.

Tea in the pot is a waste of time. There should onlyn be one method:
Teabag in Cup Add the sugar Pour the water A quick stir Add the milk Stir again then remove bag

I only drink coffee but the same applies when I make tea for other people.
Put in a mug, in this order:
Coffee Sugar Water Milk

but then you get the aforementioned mess in the bottom of the mug, pray explain Not really. I prefer my coffee with the milk in first. For some reason it just tastes better. It has to be very strong too. None of this decaf crap either. But putting milk in first in tea is just plain wrong, and should really be illegal. Yorkshire tea is my favourite. What about dunking? Rich tea, digestives or hob nobs?
