What can FIFA do about Figo's headbutt? Looked to me like the referee gave him a yellow for it ( :-))( ), and video panels don't usually look at incidents that the ref has already dealt with..... or am i barking up the wrong tree?

The ref wasn't even looking at it...so maybe he got a call from the assistant. Hate to think what Graham Poll would have made of it.....Portugal have a bit of previous in this from Euro 2000....Deco is a cheating little shit and better off for not playing v England.

i recon we're gonna do them. I'm a bit more optimistic about this one than Ecuador...hopefully the memory of losing on pens 2 years ago may motivate some of our players to put in the effort.

I think that England will play very much like Netherlands did against Portugal. Got to make sure that we don't conceed then hopefully snatch a goal.
Am excited about this game, which is not a good sign as I normally think we'll lose ! NMH

What crap goal like Joe Cole's, probably the best individual goal of the tournament and Beckham's free kick wasn't bad either.

figo could be getting a ban too, but perhaps with all the cards given out they won't want to worsen the record?
looks good with all their suspensions though.
i'm still waiting for us to turn in an extended period of decent football though, i think we've only managed about 30mins in total so far (not that i'm part of the england-bashing bridgade who criticised our group performances, i thought all were solid). decent opposition should bring out our best.

That team really does inspire feelings of hatred in me, hopefully England will suddenly remember how to play football and we will give them the proper stuffing they deserve! As long as we beat them though I couoldn't give a shit how we do it, I am just desperate for a little poetic justice to be served!
