I reckon England will turn it on today, though don't expect the score to be too convincing.  Come on Engerland.

Poor first half. England look devoid of ideas. Midfield not creating anything. Are Gerrard, Lampard and Beckham playing ?

Only positive being the scoreline at 0-0.

Hope our 1 half performance is going to be in the 2nd half and that we are not going to get worse than the first !

Take Beckham off and put Lennon on and Play 4-4-1-1. With Gerrard just behind Rooney.

There we go ! A workmanlike performance. Did Ecuador look poor because England stiffled them or were they just an average team ? Looking forward to finding out against Portugal or Netherlands.

Come on the Cloggies !

I thought it was a very competent performance,we did enough to win and looked fairly comfortable. It was a improvement on the Sweden game at least.Still i can't help but think that Portugal or Holland won't be too worried about playing us,but we're there in the QF's,anything could happen now Smiley

Well we just about scraped that one, but its the same As the last game and the last and the last Sad  I don't mean to be so negative but its true. The players always say they'll step up the game but I never see it(But then again who cares how you play if you win games).I think they are alot of better teams than us. I have not seen one game yet where I can safely say 'we were amazing'. Thing everyone knows we can play really well sometimes and we can.

People say we seem to do better against the good teams, so portugal.....maybe? :?  We'll see.

Oh and I hope Mr.Beckham is ok now. What a goal.

Thought we played quite well (not exciting, but professional) and apart from a couple of defensive mistakes we were in control of the game.  Plenty of shots again and this was a team many had hyped up after their performances against Costa Coffee and Poland.  As it was Ecuador didn't really have a sniff of their own making and sat back (like most teams so far against us) for the full 90 mins.  Even after they went behind they very rarely produced anything, in fact we looked even more assured towards the end.

My only complaint would be not taking off Beckham sooner.  I'm no Doctor but I'm thinking you can't be 100% after throwing up in game.  Should have replaced him straight away.
