Looking on the bright side, there aren't many teams in Oxfords 'Rivals' division.
Somebody mentioned a league 2 wage cap on the Rivals site. How does that work Reg?

Relegation has been accepted but for me I no longer see it as bad and thats a bit weird. With all the good news we've been recieving lately, I know see it as a new start for this football club and a good chance to show everyone that we can bounce back again and I think we will. Bring it on baby. I have a gut feeling that the good days are coming our way

Somebody mentioned a league 2 wage cap on the Rivals site. How does that work Reg? It's 60% of turnover allowed to be spent on players and 75% on total salaries. It is also in operation in league 1

Can anyone actually state one way or another if the wage cap is actually an official ruling with chastisement for breaking it in the league? I know that that a team got busted in the conference this season past I forget who it was but if I remember rightly it only came to light due to their precarious financial position anyway.
From the perspective of enforcement considering that our accounts have been a few years behind of late it’s interesting to see exactly how the hell the league can enforce on anything other than a historical basis. Even then a little creative accounting can easily juggle a portion of a salary under a different banner.
The only club that I’ve herd mention of the FA actively checking transfers under the CAP ruling is STFC and that may well be due cause as part of our financial rap sheet. On top of everything else if you can prove the club have the additional resources to cover the player’s salary then the wage cap can apparently be negated anyway.
Sounds a bit of a chocolate teapot

I think its suggested rather than forced.
I believe towards the end of last season, Torquay said fuck it...lets over spend, gamble and try and stay up...so they brought in a few loan players and Atkins....end of the day they gambled and stayed up.....whether this is true or not I dont know...

Conference is different I think that's enforceable, whereas the cap in the league has and can be breached.
There has been talk of UEFA licenses not being issued or something, but I doubt that affects anyone if it does happen.

Cheers lads, I know it was voluntary initially but from what I could dig up there was a suggestion that it was now 'the law' but there was no trace under league rules.
Back on topic at least we're still in League one on the BBC.

You've posted that like its some sort of surprise! Not exactly a surprise..(see posts from last July).....there was a thread recently which asked about the impact of relegation hitting home...I posted when its changed on Rivals..which it now partly has....although I may be going senile too....years of abuse has to have some impact.
