Its such an odd thing to say I cant work out what hes getting at.Will he be using his contacts to get more investment into the club? a seat on the board? serving hot hogs?

i think it harks back to the days when the manager was involved at all levels of the club, instead of the continental style of head coach, general manager, director of football etc.

so he'll be in charge of all football related matters across the club, except financial/board matters i'd assume.
