Generally I just try and down a few glasses of water before I go to bed, but often this can prove difficult as it's easy to forget when you're in that state. My A-level media teacher used to swear by taking two artichoke tablets before she started drinking claiming the water in these stopped any hangover. I've no idea if this is true, nor do I know what or where to get artichoke tablets. Someone wanna give it a try?!

Food = something with a high sugar and fat content (as I can't stick sweet stuff after drinking the old fashioned fry up works best)
Drink = Water and OJ, shed loads of the stuff.
Basically you need to replace body sugars and rehydrate the body (dehydration causes the bad head, throbbing feeling).
Driking shit loads again will stave off the feeling of a hangover, but you'll have to have it at some point!

Angustora Bitters and tonic water works. Had it everyday in Kenya. Only about 2 drops of Angustoras though.
For the love of god though don't drink Angustoras pure as its poisonous.

Full-fat Coke and a packet of salt and vinegar crisps (Walkers or any strong ones will do).... Works like a charm!

Water and ibuprofen, keep it simple. Maybe some exotic juice for the vitamin c.

Just got back from the Dam and I found sticking to beer certainly helps as soon as you introduce the shots and spirits it's a downward spiral.
Hangover kit of choice though is 2 x Vit C's, 2 Neurofen and a pro-plus washed down with a full English.
