The class-leading football series will makes its next-gen debut on the Xbox 360 this year.
Xbox 360 gets PESDuring Konami's pre-E3 conference that took place in the early hours of this morning, Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 was announced for the Xbox 360, PC, PS2, PSP, and DS. Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 is due in January 2007, but Konami didn't specify if this was a release date for Japan or for elsewhere.
Earlier today Konami cleared things up by announcing Pro Evolution 6 for release in Europe this year. As well as the expected PS2, PC and PSP versions, it will also be released on Nintendo DS and the Xbox 360.
Big changes are promised over previous games, with players being able to run off the ball, and the ability to pass with pin-point accuracy. AI is also said to be improved, with players finding space and adopting better defensive positions. Konami has also acquired a number of licences for international teams, meaning that the game will feature the real player names for members of the Argentina, Spain, Sweden, Italy and Holland teams.
Bottom line is fans of the Pro Evo games will need to switch from PS2 to Xbox 360 if they want to take advantage of the next level of gaming. Some of the games i have played on the Xbox 360 are graphically outstanding and with the PS3 not being launched until November WITHOUT Pro Evo 6 being available on it I think there will be a large sale of Xbox 360's on the horizon!

To be fair its hard to pass judgement until we have played the new version. A lot of people didn't think much had changed between pe4 and pe5 but I personaly thought there was much improvement. I expect pe6 on the Xbox 360 to be huge and I won't be waiting for a year for them to release it on PS3.

Talking about Pro Evo, I have another one of my legendary tournaments this coming saturday. This time it is a 16 team world cup event of 4 groups (teams play each other twice). The draw is being made at 12pm and I have bought 30 kinder eggs so that I can use the yellow plastic shell things to keep the teams in when the draw is made!!

Pro Evo on an xbox is wank due to the controller Another daft comment. Yes, if you are used to playing PE on the PS then yes it is a little different on the Xbox slightlty. Likewise if you have always played on the Xbox then you might think the PS is a bit tricky! The controller on the 360 is a little different and until the new game is released I don't know how the R2 fits in.

I've played pro evo on the PS and for the xbox, in fact, I've played it more on the xbox. I never mentioned xbox 360, as I haven't used it, so my comment isn't daft in any sense.

Don't get all pissy with me Simon. I hate it when people give an opinion without giving fact thats all. Saying Pro Evo on Xbox is wank due to the controller does not tell me alot other than you might be a retard who's sixth finger gets in the way possibly? Why not just say i don't like the controller on the Xbox as its more difficult to use? IMHO i have both the Xbox and PS2 and while I prefer to play on the PS, its by no means wank on the Xbox. The advantage i find on the Xbox is that the online capability is far superior than the ever so slow PS.

On the other hand you haven't respected my opinion because my 'factual reasoning' wasn't to your taste. I know it's only an internet forum and I don't take things too seriously usually, but I'm in danger of having more Ralphy-like outbursts because people are besmirching my comments as they don't like my opinion. How I express my opinion is up to me. I could have gone on for an age (like this post now) explaining the reasons why I don't get on with the controller for pro evo on the xbox, but I didn't want to as I don't feel that passionately about it. I think the controller is great for other games, just not for pro evo. Therefore I think pro evo is wank on the xbox.

Fair enough mate. Its a Sunday morning and my head hurts from the night before so I really don't want to be getting involved in online arguments! I do respect your opinion though and maybe when game is released on the 360 they might have sorted out the controller. Your not the only person who's told me they don't like it on the Xbox. Now lets all be friends again and i'll buy you a pint if I see next season!

Meh, I'm still feeling rough as well. I've turned into a lightweight due to lack of practice :| Reading back through this thread it sounds like I'm going to give myself an ulcer or something. It's because it's that time of the month
