see to me that doesnt look that brilliant....and I dont think Wise has really done that much in management....

Still willing to give him a chance, however the way some people are going on youd think he had been managing for years....and had achieved loads...

Just saw that, and Mark Devlin interviewed in the boardroom in front of the trophy cabinet.

Hasn't been opened for so long I doubt anyone remembers where the fucking key is!

I'm not bothered about his record. None of those games were as manager of STFC. None of those games involved the players in our squad. None of those games were in League 2....

His managerial record means very little to me! I just hope he can do a good job and I'm looking forward to finally having some bite in the middle of the park!

Steve McMahon got us to the League Cup Semi-Final

Does that make him a good manager?

Just over 1.5 points a game is respectable though VD

I agree....but still its only 80 odd games.

Im not doubting his record is decent enough for now, but he has only had 18 months in management.

If you had taken Steve McMahons managerial record after one season he would have looked like the best thing since Brian Clough....and we all know how it eventually turned out.

Management at each club is so different, different fans expectations, different board expectation, different players, different money etc....just because Wise did alright at Millwall doesnt mean he will do alright here (I hope he fucking does though)

I just think some people are going over the top at how good a manager Dennis Wise is because he got Millwall to the FA Cup final (lets be honest, fairly easy route) that was a one off....for now at least....

Steve McMahon won the league with a record equalling 4 defeats...does that make him a good manager?

Think there are a lot of reservations about Wise amongst some well respected Town fans, but the die is cast....so lets roll with it.

I understand that but you're one miserable cunt aren't you

Lighten up. Wise has done more in management than Iffy, so I think people are happy because on that basis he should be better than Iffy.

I agree with what you're saying [bar the miserable cunt bit!]

but the key word in your second paragraph is should....If he doesnt excellent, fantastic, brilliant...but there is no gurantees.

This time last year we had a similiar situation, everyone getting hard ons over Cureton and Thorpe....talking about how they would get 20 goals  each and fire us to the play offs. Looking at their record, they should have been capable of getting a decent amount of goals, unfortunatly for us they were fucking shit...

On that basis, I'm not going to get carried away and talk about how Dennis Wise is going to lead us up the leagues like Macari did!
