Beers  Beers  Beers  Beers  Beers

Well done Bedford, 3rd time lucky in the play-offs, commiserations to Chippenham, that's their 2nd failure in a row (that's what happened to Bedford last season).

Apparantly a 25 yarder into the top corner with 15 seconds to go won it, best way to do it I say.

So into Conference South for Bedford next year, just two leagues below Swindon now!

Darren perrin sounded gutted. He broke my dads leg when they used to play footie together!!

Felt a bit sorry for them, as its their second season on the bounce like that.

I feel sorry for them as well,we all know what losing in the play-offs is like.

Bedford have missed out on the past two seasons though, would have been their 3rd yr in a row if they'd lost today so I think the Gods were looking after them today.

I bet your Dad's not such a big fan of Darren Perrin then?

They had a good season finishing 7th, were pushing hard for the play-offs at one point. Mates from work went to see Bedford at Banbury earlier in the season, think Banbury won 3-2 that day and they said they were a decent side. Maybe next yr for them.

Cheesy  My dad does not really have anything against him really. Darren sent my dad a letter apologising soon after it happened which was decent of him!

I would have gone today out of curiosity if I wasn't ill.  Chippenham just don't seem to be able to win games that are all or nothing(Vase, FA Cup, Two play-off finals).  Can't say I give a damn about them myself, although they were the last club to sing We Hate Oxford at Wembley.

Was hoping for Bath at Trumpton personally.

My local team, Braintree Town have had a good bit of friendly rivalry with Bedford over the last few years until they switched from the Ryman to the Southern League.

They are a well supported club and I look forward to the rivalry being renewed in the Conference South next season. Cool

So do I OST. St Albans beat Bedford in the play-offs two yrs ago and have now gained promotion to the Conference today, so I fancy Bedford for at least a top half finish next season.
