You would do, you get paid your notice.  Unfortumately King had a 12 month notice period!!

He'll be getting a small cheque in July from us anyway, and then a slightly bigger one next July.

I cannot believe he has the cheek to ask for this. Anyone with any decency would be embarassed at having done such an appalling job. He should have fallen on his sword long before he left under this ridiculous agreement.

Agree with BWB, the man is owed money and should be paid.

Whether he should be paid or not, it's fucking worrying that we may be getting back into old ways of not being able to pay our way again!

True and this is the real issue.
It's not loads of money we're talking about, that we can't pay it even with the sale of Fallon is worrying.

King was a foul mouthed plebeian who couldn't string a sentence together. This season, he developed a new line in taking decent players, and making them utterly useless... The anti-Hoddle if you will. He left the club miles adrift at the bottom of the league... and in the hands of a novice manager (who IMHO has done a decent job considering) we have paid the price

He has a contract and is owed the money.

If the board act in this way then players are given an excuse to do the same.

Wrong. We were 3 points off 20th place and we weren't bottom. We are a lot further adrift now.

but the players clearly didnt want to play for King anymore, no matter who you are...or what position you are on in...once you lose the dressing room there is no turning back...

Still, he is owed his money....sadly..

Thank you for the correction. I'll change what I said...

King left the club on a downwards trajectory that left us miles adrift at the bottom of the league.

His negative impact was evident for a long time after he physically left the club...
