Former Swindon Town manager Andy King has taken the club to an industrial tribunal to try to claim the wages he is owed, reports BBC Radio Swindon.
King was sacked last September and under the terms of his contract he was due to receive a year's wages.

Swindon started to pay the money but stopped because they claimed they could not afford to keep up the payments.

However, deputy Chairman Mark Devlin says the club intend to eventually pay King the money he is owed.

Twice actually, he was brought back before because he took legal action and they couldn't afford to settle if you remember

Be serious every other manager in the same position would do exactly the same thing, we haven't paid him for 6 months.

This the sort of thing the LMA deals with.....as a member King will have informed them and then they would deal with it.

Cunt, but we knew his reputation for doing this so why oh why was he given a contract that would allow him a 12 month payoff?

Back in 03 he in an interview on the radio he was set to be offered a contract that would allow his disposal at next to no expense yet he's been given the opportunity to start shafting for his cash again.

Now he's entitled to it you can't really argue with what he's doing.  He's entitled to it and could you expect Andy King to walk away with dignity and a bit of thoughtfulness?

Could you fuck, the twat.

It is a wind up, still I reckon we'd all do the same in that situation if we weren't fans of the club.

Be fair dazza, why should he walk away with (a big chunk of) money owed to him? I took VR last Sept and made damn sure I got every penny coming to me, and if my then employers hadn't paid me, I'd have taken action against them as well. Unless there's something we don't know about this (and, to be fair, there usually is) or something I've forgotten to take into account (and, to be fair, there usually is), I don't see how this is any different, really.

Football management has got to be the only job where you you get paid off for doing such a crap job!

No it's not - look at all the directors of top companies who routinely get paid millions when they get forced out after wrecking the company. It's all down to contracts, which is the same as here.

Far from it....any higher grades in the business world, get a wedge for being fired, in some companies its middle management as well.

Same applies in public sector as well.
