Just read this in the Oxford Mail (unfortunately my local rag)

"On Sunday a charity match is being held between a Swindon Town Veterans Side and a Banbury and District Veterans team at Bicester Town Football Club"

Im not sure what time this is kicking off and would have no idea of who would be playing in the vets team?

I think Iffy and Ian Woan are playing, and read somewhere that Alan McLoughlin is as well, not sure there are many other well known names though.

TOMORROW Sun 23 Apr 2PM KO @ Bicester Town FC 'SWINDON LEGENDS XI' - DON ROGERS Former Robins team to include IFFY ONUORA; IAN WOAN; FRASER DIGBY; ALAN REEVES; ALAN McLOUGHLIN; PAUL BODIN; PHIL KING; JON HATHAWAY and other well known former 'Robins' [subject to availability] in the Grand Finale BDLJFA Vets Charity Cup the last game in the League's association with Vets Football. BICESTER TOWN have kindly agreed to host the match with this years proceeds going to the BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION in memory of Jimmy Daly and whose family have supplied a GAA Memorial Trophy to be played for.

Just found that on a site. At least 7 decent names there.

Went to this today and was a nice day out better than Brentford yesterday anyway.

We won 8-0 and won the BDLJFA Vets Charity Cup. Would say about 12 town fans there.
Line up included Iffy and Woan.
No Reeves or Phil King.

Iffy got the first goal and set up the second isn’t got a clue who got the rest. But they were running rings round them.

Got presented the cup with one of the Banbury players shouting got to win something this season!

I won 10 bottles of Stella on the raffle too, so all in all a good day.
