a friend of mine- plays on my cricket team, worked in roses in town- rob hale was sentenced to a year in prison yesterday for having a sexual relationship with a girl over a period of time- she's 15, it was consenting etc.
now like i say i know rob and he's a lovely bloke, he was married only 2 years ago and he was a really proud dad of his lad who only arrived back last spring
now i for one feel that he shouldn't go to prison... birdy should he be shot?

Dave, to be honest the picture that you paint of him is a bit weird, He is a lovely bloke ,proud to be a dad,recently married but knobbing an underage girl for a period of time :? . The law is in place to protect minors from abuse, as you say she was consenting but the law is the law. Tough one to call, if he had met her on a night out and honestly thought that she was over 16 then i would say that the sentence was harsh,but he knew that she was under age .

In my eyes, a 15 year old is a lot different to a 11 year old, it should be made illegal for 15 year old girls to wear make up and revealing clothes. Having said that, the law is the law and if the legal age to be boning was, say, 19, then having it away with a 15 year old would be considered a lot worse.
