pikeys bust both of my locks and stole a sony cd stereo. i didnt tell my insurer i'd fitted a stereo myself - will they tell me 'tough luck we wont cover you for it'?

my car has been in the wars a bit and its resale value must be about £300 at the moment so its not as though the condition of it bothers me at all.

i can claim on the insurance (it says i have a £120 excess) and get it all fixed or just buy myself a new stereo and keep my 2 years NCB. the locks are all boshed about but the driver one still works.

please help!

if your cars only worth 300 quid i wouldn't bother claiming
get insurance with no claims protection next time.
