Ours is going up around 5% here as well. Part of it is the Government under funding the councils as well though.

I wouldn't be too worried about the Council Tax, try looking at the Gas and Electric bills in the next couple of months.

I'm resorting to burning items of furniture soon for heating and will be havinga few more BBQ's this year.

I could have been dyslexic for all you know!

But as it happens I'm not, it would appear I'm just lazy at checking my spelling.

I have no idea, doesn't ring any bells but my Mum and Dad probably know them at least!

What are they, some local mafia family or something? (although with Tuck as the surname it doesn't suggest mafia I suppose)

too right, we just got our gas and electricity bill through and it was £440! £120 for electricity, the rest on gas - is that alot? could it be a mistake? its for a house of 5 but our last bill was only £120.

Our gas has just come through and its 200 (quarterly) however everything is pretty much gas in our house and theres 4 of us.  Electricity was £80.  seems a lot £440.  is it quarterly/six monthly?

We had a £283 electricity bill one quarter, but then only £28 last quarter. We have no gas, so thats ok.
