Liverpool lost at home to Aston Villa tonight, and are already 6 points behind the pace-setters Spurs.

So that is another season without the EPL trophy then.

People are writing them off very early. Remember Man U have also lost this season. Teams are bound to lose games at some point. Spurs won't last the course and they'll be 5th or 6th come May.

Spurs will finish outside the top 5, much like villa fell away last season. Liverpool are missing Alonso, which everyone was expecting.

Yes but Man Utd always start slow whereas recently Liverpool have needed a good start so they can throw it away round Christmas a la Brizzle City. And Benitez isn't half the manager Ferguson is.

Oh, and this "EPL" nonsense is right up there with "soccer". It's the Premiership/Premier League/Prem, even PL if you must, but EPL - bah!

i went to anfield when they lost 3-1 to Villa, and Torres was awful, he did nothing but moan for 90mins, looked way off the pace, but the last 2 games he does look back to his best
