How about this then. The reason that the embargo took so long could be because we will have soon to be announced new owners and the associated issues with proper persons etc, due diligence, etc were being carried out again on a second bunch. All that goes with buying a club was, has been and still is being drilled down much further than we were led to understand surmise? In short the current posse are a holding and stalling tactic to give others more time to do the bizniz.

Far fetched? Maybe but no-one knew about 57 year old debts before did they? Also this board have said very little about plans etc. Who actually thinks that the management all stack up as bona fide? I am in no way suggesting they are other than honest individuals but have the the nouse and clout to carry the club?

Did not AB say that some of the potential owners interested only wanted to buy the club once it had gone into admin and others, maybe the same who said there was not enough time to complete the paperwork before the dead line?

The Advertiser understands #stfc will sit down with representatives of Nathan Thompson this week to offer him new contract at County Ground

It's believed the respective parties will meet on Thursday, with Town keen to tie him to a long-term deal at #stfc

The Advertiser also understands Louis Thompson will be offered a pro deal with Town

Sorry to those who feel that news is not positive enough. For me, tying Nathan down is a hugely important step.

The majority indicates some won't be extended.  Who is out of contract - Ferry, Flint, Thompson already mentioned is there anyone else?

Only ones I would be annoyed to see go out of that lot are Thompson and Ferry. Both could be replaced fairly easily mind.

On the townend.com table( or as Clive Fisher kept announcing it all night the tom townsend.com table) were Darren Ward & hiss sponsors ( top man who before he sat down went to the bar & brought everybody on the table a drink out of his own pocket), Miles Storey & his sponsor 7 the gaffer Kevin MacDonald who had to next to The Flash all night & listen to him moaning how in 40 years of watching Town he has never known a game where we haven't created at least 1 chance. And for those interested their favourite cheeses are.

I can remember a game under McMuck at Brum where we got beat 3-0 when we didn't have a shot on target (or off if I remember rightly).

Flash does like to lay it on thick when telling people these things. Kmac's response was well we had a couple of half chances in the first 10 minutes, flash replied" I must of blinked then ".

Well there you go then. Our lease is now a rolling lease, with the hope of extending it to 99 years then 999 years once there is a firm plan as to what to do with the CG.

The council do not know the new board so will not just hand them a long term lease just like that I wouldnt have thought they will need to prove and future viability.

I beleive there was already an agreement in place and the club was getting close to finalising plans for a redev until Black pulled the plug

Yes, I  don't like the rolling contract. But the board have to decide first whether they want to stay at the CG or not anyway..

this is how they plan to make up for having no money, a bunch of crappy concerts that will destroy the pitch

I hope most of them take place late May/early June so the pitch can be ready for the season.

I asked McCrory about possible adverse effects on pitch. He said: "There will be platforms put in place to sustain pitch going forward...

According to the staff at the Ricoh they used platforms on their pitch and we all saw how well that played out.  I was there on good Friday and the pitch was worse than when we played there.

Having been to a gig at the Ricoh, the "platform" was nothing more than some interlocking foam/plastic mats laid directly on the pitch.
