More non-negative #stfc news coming your way in a little while. Again, nothing he-owge but still positive enough.

Well there you go then. Our lease is now a rolling lease, with the hope of extending it to 99 years then 999 years once there is a firm plan as to what to do with the CG.

Quote from: Sam Morshead ‏@SamMorshead_SA

Old lease from council expired on March 31, and rolling agreement in place until fine details ironed out of how board take CG forward

Town general manager Steve Murrall told the Adver: "We had meeting with council and outcome of that was that the lease as it currently...

Murrall: "stands will continue on rolling basis until such a time that we identify which way we’re going to go with development of ground..

Murrall: "Once we’ve agreed that we’ll be looking at a 99-year lease and ultimately a 999-year lease on a new development."

Full story in tomorrow's Adver. Murrall said working relationship with council is very positive. We like the sound of that!

The council do not know the new board so will not just hand them a long term lease just like that I wouldnt have thought they will need to prove and future viability.

I beleive there was already an agreement in place and the club was getting close to finalising plans for a redev until Black pulled the plug

Yes, I  don't like the rolling contract. But the board have to decide first whether they want to stay at the CG or not anyway..

Believe me you really don't want to meet him pissed, he is a nightmare. He has even been snubbed by the official club site he is about the only person who didn't make it onto the gallery from the other night.

I think I'll give you some more positive news at 9pm. Before you ask, I'm afraid it's not player contract news #stfc

Interesting. If it generates the club more income then it sounds good to me!

The agreement has been brokered with Avalon Investment Services - a Tetbury-based company, who will organise the events at the County Ground
