Easy to get to, a day on the piss and I would guess cheap tickets as they would be home to a div4 team.
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Luci on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 09:59:10 Arsenal/Spurs away ideally - if not, united or city
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Ardiles on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 10:00:39 After my success in starting the FA Cup Third Round Draw thread, you should have let me have a crack at this one, surely! ;)
I'm counting down the hours to 5.45pm already. Haven't felt (or had cause to feel) this way for years about the Cup. Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Processed Beats on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 10:01:50 North-West Premier League team away please.
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Reg Smeeton on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 10:04:05 There's still more shit in that hat than good....the presence of Stevenage and Crawley is a worry, anybody but either of those please.
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Matchworn Shirts on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 10:05:33 i predict Stoke at home

Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: JanTheMan on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 10:08:31 I fancy Arsenal away. Easy to get to, a day on the piss and I would guess cheap tickets as they would be home to a div4 team. Here's a thought, why don't we hope for a game we can win. Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: chalkies_shorts on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 10:12:45 As I walked out the ground I said Notts co away - someone else has mentioned it so thats it. Ritchie up against Sheehan - ding dong.

Hope so :wotjump: Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: shaw_red on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 10:15:54 Here's a thought, why don't we hope for a game we can win. Surely after yesterday anything is possible ..... Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: hobnob on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 10:23:51 Poxford, Shitty or the Gas would have been good - ooops can't have it all can we?
 :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick: Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Peter Venkman on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 10:29:15 I don't care, I am sure that whoever we get we can turn them over anyway.
Its the luck of the draw! Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Jackstfc on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 10:47:14 For me it has to be 1) a team who traditionally play in blue n White downstripes and who we are underdogs against. Shame hudds Colchester and Wigan are all out. R there others who fit the criteria still in??
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Hitchinred on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 10:51:44 Bayern Munich away Sunday lunchtime please. Flight back from skiing that day. At least I won't miss Southend away now.
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: LucienSanchez on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 10:56:28 For me it has to be 1) a team who traditionally play in blue n White downstripes and who we are underdogs against. Shame hudds Colchester and Wigan are all out. R there others who fit the criteria still in?? Brighton? Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Nomoreheroes on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 10:58:33 Think we need to put this into perspective. Great win yesterday against Premiership opposition. However, it was poor Premiership opposition who dominated possession but couldn't do anything with it. Don't think we would do the same to the likes of Stoke, Fulham, WBA etc.
So, anyone at home please, but preferably someone we can beat so that we can progress as far as possible and fill the County Ground coffers. Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 11:04:27 Please, not Notts County away
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Ginginho on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 11:13:45 After my success in starting the FA Cup Third Round Draw thread, you should have let me have a crack at this one, surely! ;) I'm counting down the hours to 5.45pm already. Haven't felt (or had cause to feel) this way for years about the Cup. Sorry Ardiles, you can lambast me after we're drawn against Crawley away ;) Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Peter Venkman on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 11:32:12 Please, not Notts County away  No but Notts County home would be good, we can beat them and get a plum tie next round! Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: walcot red on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 11:36:21 i'm not fussed about who we get, i'm just enjoying the ride. I think we potentilly could beat anyone except maybe the top four in the prem.
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Phil_S on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 11:44:00 I would normally be looking for a winnable game ie Someone we can beat at home. However, I think the Tinpot trophy is more important for once, (We can actually win that) so lets have a moneyspinner away
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: pericarp on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 11:52:20 Basically, the general consensus is.. Either a very winnable home tie. Or a plum-tie away.
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Swindon Please Win on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 11:55:46 Poxford, Shitty or the Gas would have been good - ooops can't have it all can we? :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick: What about Reading? ;) Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: leefer on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 12:00:54 I fancy Arsenal away. Easy to get to, a day on the piss and I would guess cheap tickets as they would be home to a div4 team. A friend of mine is going to Arsenal v Leeds on Monday(Leeds fan)the ticket for Leeds fans cost £40  So dont expect them to be that cheap. Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: sonicyouth on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 12:29:55 A decent winnable game so we can get as far as possible in the competition or an away tie at one of the top four (or Villa for geographical purposes)
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Langers on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 12:31:07 London Premiership side away please.
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Gnasher on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 12:46:25 It's going to be Blackpool or Derby
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Peter Venkman on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 13:07:43 We all know what we want in the draw as mentioned above, a winnable home tie or a money spinning away tie at the big 4/5.
What I feel we dont need is an away tie at a fairly unglamourous Championship or lower Premier League side a long way away with little chance of progressing, such as Middlesborough, Blackpool or Norwich. Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Samdy Gray on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 13:17:39 I've a feeling we'll get Everton.
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Only Me on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 13:19:29 We all know what we want in the draw as mentioned above, a winnable home tie or a money spinning away tie at the big 4/5. Blackpool away :hmmm: Weekend on the :pint:  Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: bigbobjoylove on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 13:21:11 Bolton at home please.
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: No Longer Posh Red on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 14:27:55 If Man Utd don't win this game, I think their season is done.
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Gnasher on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 14:30:56 If Man Utd don't win this game, I think their season is done. Amazing red card. Magera would have been off for the same tackle yesterday. Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 14:35:45 It's going to be Spurs at home.
FACT! Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: No Longer Posh Red on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 14:36:35 Amazing red card. Magera would have been off for the same tackle yesterday. It was a shocking decision to be honest. But I think the ref has realised his mistake, as he seems to be giving Man City the benefit of the doubt on 50/50 decisions now. Have to say I would piss myself if Man City could get a draw out of this Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: No Longer Posh Red on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 14:37:36 It's going to be Spurs at home. FACT! Let's hope they don't set fire to anything, or turn up in Pyjamas this time if it is :) Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Peter Venkman on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 14:44:03 Let's hope they don't set fire to anything, or turn up in Pyjamas this time if it is :) And without Hoddle, Ardiles and Villa in the team! :D Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Ralphy on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 14:50:37 We will get Newcastle at the County Ground.
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: LJ9 on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 15:04:24 Blackpool away so Town fans can have a messy weekend and it will practice for the Morecambe game away!!
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Costanza on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 15:17:43 Selfishness from me as always.
Newcastle or Sunderland away. Middlesbrough won't be all that expensive either. Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Swindon Please Win on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 15:19:15 So after that result, Swindon have made it further in the cup than the holders and premier league leaders. Sounds good when you say it like that :D
Premier League at home please, loved the atmosphere on saturday would loved to have another day like that. I'd settle for away at Old trafford I guess. Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Flashheart on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 15:21:22 I'll never find Middlesborough an attractive match
I think it's the name: Middlesborough. Not Brilliantborough or Fantasticborough, but Middlesbrorough. Similar to Averageborough Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Costanza on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 15:33:31 I'll never find Middlesborough an attractive match I think it's the name: Middlesborough. Not Brilliantborough or Fantasticborough, but Middlesbrorough. Similar to Averageborough Ha! Although I didn't say it would be attractive. When I first moved up to the North East I went to a Middlesbrough game. It was around the time Middlesbrough was voted the worst place in England or something like that (it is pretty grim). The away fans were duly chanting "Worst town in England, you've got the worse town in England, worst town in EEEEEEngland, you've got the worst town in England" before falling in to that world famous Riverside silence. ...and then one irate Boro fan stood up and screamed "IT'S A BOROUGH NOT A TOWN YOU STUPID FUCKING SOUTHERN TWATS!" which was welcomed by a chortles and applauds from both sides. It amuses me to this day. Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Gnasher on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 15:39:00 Football with no commentary - a new innovation from ITV.

Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: stfcinbmth on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 16:00:10 Winnable tie please, and a big club in the 5th
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Arriba on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 16:01:01 Arsenal away please. Wont cost £40 a ticket leefer.
We've had our glory home tie and won, so a day out at a top club will be great for the fans. The emirates would be great for a town day out. If we get a prem side i think we will be certs for a live showing on tv Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: ghanimah on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 16:04:43 Arsenal away please. If we get a prem side i think we will be certs for a live showing on tv I'm with you, I think. While I would love to see us go to the 5th Round (or beyond!), I'm not sure it would help with the promotion drive when we're going to need to put together some impressive runs in the League in the coming months. I don't know...I'm torn. The Wigan win and a decent 4th Round tie will do me this year. Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: THE FLASH on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 16:21:07 spurs away, one of the few grounds i haven't been to....

Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: wheretherealredsare on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 16:51:25 What about West Ham home or away? Or should we save that for the Final?
Oh dear ... 2 minutes later Sheffield Wednesday score in the 88th minute. Maybe next year. Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: No Longer Posh Red on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 17:57:43 Probably a similar reaction after the draw with Wigan, and that was a pretty good day.
Could have been Crawley/Stevenage/Notts County Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: tans on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 17:58:08 Think its winnable.
Theyve both had shit seasons Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: walcot red on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 17:58:16 we were all moaning about drawing wigan and look what happend there, i think its a winnable game and if we win that were into round 5 and that earns the club more cash which is always a bonus COYRS!!!!!!!
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: hobodan on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 17:58:25 Hope we get Forest, nicer stadium & I reckon we'll take a good following there.
Leicester have spent mega bucks & probably are the better team.. a trip to the crisp bowl is hardly exciting is it Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: leefer on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 17:59:20 Good draw for our friends living in the East Midlands.
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Gnasher on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:00:20 Think its winnable. Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Batch on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:01:08 On the plus side, both Forest and Leicester fans at work.
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Jackstfc on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:01:49 I can see it now... 1-1 draw away then beat them in replay at home. This is a minor diversion - we will get that plum tie just not this round ;D

At least it will be less of a distraction to the players than if we'd got Man U or Liverpool. Not been to the Walkers so may go if Leicester get through. Both teams have an eye on the league for different reasons. Agreed, just read subsequent comments on Leicester's site Quote What makes them think they're worth OUR draw? Shite club, walkover win. And they called us arrogant... Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: westyorksnffc on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:09:33 It'll be Leicester for you guys then, we've got more chance of signing Lionel Messi than winning at Fester! Should a miracle happen though, and you want any info on Nottingham feel free to ask, oh, and ignore that Forest Forum, we're all still pissed off at the owner/CEO/results etc etc!

Hello Foxes fans....(cross linked threads) Oh, and it's now called the King Power Stadium rather than the Crisp Bowl. Apparently. Yeah apparently we're supposed to know that...funnily enough for a 'tin pot' club like ourselves we've managed to keep a proper traditional stadium name and not change it every season on a whim Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Arriba on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:16:48 It is a shit draw as it's not a massive team whoever gets through their replay. It won't sell alot in their ends unless they do some kind of reduced deal for the game but i'm sure we will take a decent following. On the plus side we do have a chance against either of them. They will be favs, but i'm sure we will at least give a good account of ourselves and who knows we might just spring another surprise.

Dont get excited, for a new stadium it's pretty crap, unless that is they've improved the toilets and catering. Just explained to the wife why it's crap. We've played them both recently, not on Tv, low attendance (no cash) and we'll play really well and lose to either by an 88th minute goal. Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: TheDukeOfBanbury on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:26:02 Lets look on the bright side.
How would we have felt if we drew Hull away ? Never want to go back to the knuckle dragging dumb fuckers place again if I can help it. Even gives Luton a running for the "Best" Town in Britain award. Leicester or Forest - Not many miles away and another good day out. The only problem is if we escape we a draw and these fixtures keep piling up. Wanted a great fat pay day and if we have to go out, then go out at Manchester Utd or The Bin Dippers (Liverpool). Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: phelpsieboy on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:26:32 Its a winnable tie either way, and if we progrees into round 5, then more chance of a big team, and more money! Kerching
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: DV on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:27:11 meh, two teams we've played in the league within the last few years.

We've already beaten better sides than them this season. Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: westyorksnffc on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:28:03 Most of us don't expect to win at The King Prawn / Crisp Bowl Stadium, let alone beat you 'IF' we get through, but you guys were shocking that day, first home game since we got rid of Megson too!
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Costanza on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:28:27 I won't look at their forums. How many times have the Forest/Leicester fans mentioned fascism? I bet it's quite a few.
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Batch on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:29:09 There is another advantage to this draw, we can now re-focus on the league (and JPT) and not get sidetracked into daydreaming about a big tie.
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Batch on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:30:07 Most of us don't expect to win at The King Prawn / Crisp Bowl Stadium, let alone beat you 'IF' we get through, but you guys were shocking that day, first home game since we got rid of Megson too! Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Arriba on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:30:51 I think fans of both clubs will underestimate us. They should look at who we have beaten so far to get where we are. We will not be rolling over to be tickled, that is for sure. Their manager will give us the respect we are due no doubt at all.
Both are proper football clubs but not glory ties. They wont be doing cartwheels at getting us, like we aint them. Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Batch on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:31:30 ? Paolo Di Canio. And to be fair it has been mentioned a few times on one of the forums (maybe its Leicester). Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: DV on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:31:53 WE were shocking? You let Trevor Benjamin score. yeah, what sort of fucking awful shit team would let Trevor fucking Benjamin score past them (us) Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Peter Venkman on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:32:10 Leicester & Forest are both still averaging 20k+ gates on average, no it wont be on TV but we should take a healthy following to either of 3k+ and possibly more if we are already at Wembley by then in the JPT.
The Di Canio effect will also maybe raise the home support a little too, so I would expect both to be 25k crowds. But still a shite draw none the less. Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: westyorksnffc on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:32:35 WE were shocking? Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Batch on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:33:53 Indeed, neither teams are "small", both a lot bigger than Wigan. Its just we played them both not too long ago. And they aren't top 6 prem teams.
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:39:27 Not the draw we all hoped for but there are positives. It's quite winnable. If we can beat Wigan we can beat a bottom half Championship team. We've already beaten Bristol City away this season. It can be done. And as Batch says at least the players won't be dreaming of the big tie for at least another few weeks.
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: hobnob on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:42:47 The big tie is Tuesday, let's hope the lads can concentrate on that or now!

I don't really care which one gets through, both are reasonably close for us, & have been away to both in recent seasons. Both of them will be favourites to beat us, but I think we have a chance of an upset against either. Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Batch on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 18:54:49 I know that and have said as much earlier in the thread. Must have missed it. a) it's not hull away b) it's not too far c) it is winnable/drawable d) some people may go to this as their 'away day' rather than oxford leaving some tickets available (clasping at straws..) we've moaned about every round so far and it hasn't gone too badly Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: chalkies_shorts on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 19:01:47 I'm happy with this draw. Not too far to travel and we should take a few. Both teams are beatable but could show us up as well. Funnilly enough there will be more attention on this tie than if they'd drawn anyone outside the Prem other than County. Welcome to the DiCanio circus.
If they beat us then it will expected. if they don't then it will be pretty high profile. I'm looking forward to it. Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Notts red on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 23:50:42 At the moment Forest would defiantly be beatable at their place. The City ground has nearly always been their fortress but this season nothing is going right for them and if they do knock out Leicester we could go there and cause another upset, or at least keep it below seven. Think Leicester would be much more difficult and a less glamourous tie for us.
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: No Longer Posh Red on Monday, January 9, 2012, 00:00:51 From what I've read there were more Leicester fans than Forest fans at the game on Saturday, so I don't imagine they would get many if we played them.

Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Ardiles on Monday, January 9, 2012, 10:26:56 That 7-1 is still my favourite away day. That 7-1 was the main event on my stag weekend. About 20 of us there that day...and for about 13 or 14, it was the first (and last) time they'd been to a Swindon game. Some of them still talk about the game to this day. Bastards. :) Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: westyorksnffc on Monday, January 9, 2012, 11:06:20 From what I've read there were more Leicester fans than Forest fans at the game on Saturday, so I don't imagine they would get many if we played them. 8000 Leicester, just over 10000 Forest, were we not so fed up with the way we're being ran there'd have been 5000 Leicester and over 20000 Forest. If we play you you'll get as many tickets as you want / need. Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Notts red on Monday, January 9, 2012, 13:38:31 If Notts County go through as expected and Forest do beat Leicester one of the 4th round games will have to be moved from the Saturday.

Notts are already through, and away to Stevenage Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Notts red on Monday, January 9, 2012, 14:19:12 Sorry Yorks, all the excitement and all that ! :-[
Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Raffia De Vito on Monday, January 9, 2012, 21:43:04 Leicester have released their ticket info for cup replay with notts, £20 per adult with forest taking up the full 15% allocation.
http://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10308~2571437,00.html Should have a good chance of taking a decent following to either club. Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Oaksey Moonraker on Monday, January 9, 2012, 22:21:05 Forest or Leicester may not be the huge draw that we expected but at least it doesn't become a big distraction than say a top Premier club. With the JPT games against Barnet and trying to push on for 3rd place hopefully PdC can get the boys focussed on the next game in front of them.
February is looking a big month with games against Burton, Crawley, Shrewsbury and the Barnet 2nd leg who are around us and we will be pretty much be playing Saturday/Tuesday. Beginning of March with Oxford and Cheltenham will mean the next 6-8 weeks will go a long way to sorting out our season Title: Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Draw Post by: Bob's Orange on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, 08:57:09 Flights booked. Now to wait and see the destination, be it Nottingham or Leicester.
Incidentally, which is easier to get to on the train from London? And how far is Nottingham from Leicester? Both just as easy, very regular direct trains from St.Pancras, distance between the two cities - about 30 miles. Thanks Mr Forest. From the people I have spoken to they have been very complimentary on the Nottingham night life so even if we play Leicester, may still go out and stay in Nottingham. I would, Leicester is a very poor night out, Nottingham on the other hand is overran with excellent bars, pubs and clubs. I'd have it as pre 2008, well at least pre credit crunch 2008. That was classic stuff, since the recession behaviour has got a lot more sensible...and it's subsequent reporting on the TEF.
