So i'm not drunk after a night out, but i'm gonna start this thread in the hope my run continues.

Don't see why not.

My three year old gave it a lot of welly during the now obligatory Saturday morning 'Come on You Reds' at breakfast.  And my one year old joined in this time as well, sort of.  I'm feeling optimistic.

Optomistic thoughts indeed however my recent predications have been way off so if I say a 2-1 defeat hopefully the opposite will endure.

Oh dear that was inevitable considering we were going for a club record of clean sheets in the league!  Come on then Town, let's show the spirit from last week to bring us back into it quickly.

Also, not wanting to jump on the criticising Risser bandwagon, but I'm surprised he's started.  I wouldn't have said he's made enough of an impact in recent games to oust Smith, who imo is stronger in the midfield?

Got a feeling we'll come out winners.  Not been a goal down and still felt confident of a win for a long time.

2nd half AFC will start to flag, seen it a few times this season.  Expect the equaliser just before or after half ime.

Smith would've done well to start as he is very good at breaking up the play. For me, Risser only good for coming on in the last 10-15 when we're looking at shutting up shop and need some defensive fresh legs.

Paolo on

- I don't want to comment on the penalty, I was too far away. Someone told me it was a definite penalty. If so, that's the 4th clear penalty we've not had this year
- I have two feelings today: fed up of the players as they approached the game wrong and conceded a stupid goal, but proud of them because we played well in the second half
- There's sadness in the dressing room. We should have won because we had chances to score plenty more
- We have to approach the games like we did in the last few weeks, not like we did today. The poor start cost us the win
- Alan Connell is angry with the chances he missed. He's an important player for us and he works so hard
- We need to score more goals, we should have had 2 or 3 today. Hopefully we can get a new striker in so that we have fresh legs to come on and inject energy up front late in the game
- Kerrouche will be back next week, Magera will be back sooner than expected but not straight away
- 10 games unbeaten is good and it keeps confidence high, but we still should have won!

we played too much hoof ball and have the ball away too much for 65 minutes.  wimbledon were stronger and quicker to the ball.

that said Connell could have had 4.

difficult to see the penalty. difficult to see much at all!

Enjoyed the game today, regretted taking my big coat cos the body heat alone was over powering!

Caddis looked a stonewall pen - thought their number 22 got away with a big shove in the box on Connell earlier on too. Big Wes kept us in it with two brilliant reflex saves, Risser was anonymous and Smith needs to be back in the starting line-up. Wimbledon had a defence of donkeys and relied on hoofs. Officials were shocking today, absolutely baffling.

Just got back, no problems at all getting into the home end, even though we were clocked by a couple of supporters early on - friendly bunch of supporters. As expected no checks done at all to ascertain if we were Wimbledon or not.

Have to say embarrassed by the behaviour of some of our own after we scored - the chant " we are Swindon we do what we like" as they try to 'kick off' is fucking embarrassing to say the least, especially when Paolo turns round from the dugout and tries to calm them down. Grow up.

As for the game glad to take the point, but we should have scored at least 3 in the first half, we were refused 2 stonewall penalties especially the last one - there was a deep intake of breath from the dons fans at the last one when the 'tackle' was made which says everything.

Another thing that struck me was in the last 15 minutes our fitness definitely showed - we were 1st to everything and should have wrapped up the game - do we need a fucking striker or what?

Anyway in summary I have had too much beer to make much more sense but a decent point, a nice away ground and a great day out.

Our terrace reminded me of Barnet or Hereford in that I couldn't see a thing on the left hand side in the second half.

Onto the game. Summed up in Two words- Risser & Connell.

What is Risser doing in the team. He adds no value and missed the ball completly before it went to their fellow who scored! The team improved so much when Smithy came on.

Connell. This guy is just not a player. Nobody can fault his effort and he appears to be a very nice chap, however...

This season, before today he has scored 3 goals, one of which was a featherlite touch @ Crawley. I doubt that he has troubled the keeper more than 5 times before today, however, he had 2 half chances and 3 gilt edge chances today and fluffed them all. A pathetic side foot in the 1st half when he only had to put he foot through it and the scuffed effort that hit the post.

Having said all that we have to take this as a point won when we equalise with 20 mins to go. Sometimes we have to say that a point away from home is a good point. Remember we have 13 home games and only 10 away in 2012.

Agree with everything you said except the ground it was absolutely shit.

I guess I have a reason to moan though as I was in the home end behind the home dugout with a 4 year old who wanted to go home after 10 mins and he had to sit on my shoulders for long stints !!
Anyway happy with a point.

Plenty of Town fans in the home end, standing next to another 4 but I couldn't make out why it kicked off. Was it when we scored and a problem with the stewards ?

Anyway the main takes for me Connell's miss and a stone wall penalty and maybe another.

Interesting that the general opinion of those at the game is that Risser once again offered very little and Smith should have started.  Strange decision imo, why break up the Smith/Ferry partnership that's been working so well in the last few league games?  I do hope Di Canio is not going to start chopping and changing players around too much again, as one of the main reasons we've managed to put a decent run together is due to a reasonably stable side.

In terms of Connell, I really feel for him.  He never stops working and a large proportion of the supporters (myself included) have felt he's been a bit hard done by constantly being down the pecking order.  It's a vicious circle though, because when he's been given the opportunity from the start, he's not tended to play as well and missed a number of chances hence he's dropped agin the minute someone else is fit.  I'm starting to think he might end up being another Chalky White, who has more impact when he comes on as a sub.

Got to give the dons credit, they did a great job on caddis in the first half, and put mac and flint under lots of decent pressure. But we still created loads of chances. It us obvious that ferry and smith are our best midfield pairing at the moment. Dons pressured the ball well to the extent that risser hardly got a kick. What concerns me is that ferry has to cover for risser too much, which in turn takes away his ability to hurt the opposition.

Was my first experience of watching the Town away in the home end, and can't say I enjoyed it too much. Half the fun of going to footie is surely to be able to vent your anger/frustrations from the working week so to have to watch 90 mins in silence, biting the lip was agonising!

Satisfied with the point but could definitely could have taken all 3. Risser had a mare for their goal and Smith was so much better when he came on (Although he did attempt to decapitate one of the Dons players but luckily missed).

Fodringham looked solid and Ferry was class throughout imo. Connell should have scored no doubt with his chance but no way would I place him with Risser as underperforming - thought Connell put a decent shift in.

2 pen shouts - Caddis' looked a clear pen to me and all the Dons fans were shitting themselves as if it was a pen - can't say for sure as it was the far side. Connell was a blatent pen in my eyes. He just got smashed in the back and there's no way in the world that wouldn't have been a foul in the centre circle.

No offence meant but from the John Smith's home stand I couldn't hear much singing from our away section til after we scored. Might just be the acoustics though!

Smith must start over Risser next game.

Being behind the dugout in the 2nd half, Di Canio punching the dugout about 30 times.

i find myself commenting of ref's and their "assistants" far too much during games and afterwards. the bastards in black yesterday were clueless and failed to control a game that could've got a bit naughty.

he booked ridhaulgh for throwing the ball into the ground, yup fair enough. but didn't do anything about jackson pushing someone in the back after the whistle a second before after giving one of many irrational decisions.

the penalty shouts - connell got bummed when the ball was in the air, ref ignores it. caddis goes down, no idea if there's any contact due to the fucking view.

the lino on the away terrace was a bobbleheaded cretin. he gave jervis offside a few times when he was 2 yards onside, with a defender on his arse

we probably deserved a draw, their keeper made three great stops in the first half and connell just wasn't going to score, or flint. but then foderingham made 2 great stops.

we did well with ten men, then when we subbed smithy on for the missing man we got a bit of pace and fight about us. i wonder if the players rate risser as little as i do, as they seemed to perk up a bit once smith was on...

The first half was quite possibly the worst view I have ever had at a football match therefore can't really comment too much on the football played.

Risser was useless - would like to have seen Smithy start and he must be in the first 11 v Aldershot next weekend.  I am not sure why PDC persists with him.

Ritchie is getting far too greedy for my liking.  PDC's reaction after he attempted that long range shot said it all and resulted in him (rightly in my opinion) subsequently being hauled off.

Jervis doesn't really impress me i'm afraid.  I have to question his work rate and on far too many occasions he seems to wait for the ball to come to him.

Connell was unlucky.  Put in a decent shift but think he'll play better with someone like Kerrouche alongside him.

Gabilondo looked good when he came on - I'd quite like to see him start Saturday.  I rate De Vita but its clear Gabilondo has bags of technical ability therefore like to see him take his chance and cement his place.

Ferry was my MOTM - thought he had a decent game seeing as Risser was absent for most of it.

The officials were absolutely diabolical too.

I think the smell was due to one of our fans letting off stink bombs, the funny fucker.

Good day out and on the whole our support was top notch. I did have a minor disagreement with one though, who thought it was a good idea to bait the Wimbledon fans by chanting "Franchise, Franchise, Franchise....". which was frankly embarrassing and fucking annoying.

Thought our fans were brilliant today so I disagree with people saying its 'embarrasing'...not at all I'd lighten up if I were you...

I couldn't see, or hear, the majority of Town fans from where I was but I have no doubt they were brilliant, as we always are. I was specifically refering to the 'smallish' number of Green Street wannabes near the segregation point who were kicking off with stewards, Police and trying to kick off with non- antagonistic Dons fans in a stand with families in. Perhaps perceptions are different when on the receiving end and can view things in the 'cold light of day' as it were, but in no way did I think that particular section's support was 'brilliant'.

Anyway it's a minor quibble, I'm more pissed off over the officials, just when you think that they can't get any worse in this league...

Was in the Paul Strank stand and have to say that Ritchie put in a lot of very energetic defensive work on the left flank in the second half but quite agree it wasn't really working for him (as well as many others) offensively.

I fully agree that Smith on for Risser made all the difference as I felt we had been overrun in midfield, especially in the first half and Ferry ended up the most influential player for the last 20 when we looked the likelier winners.

Superb second half run by Caddis into the box that had me on my feet celebrating the penalty rather than shouting for it - no luck there at all.

Pleased for AC that he got a goal - he should have scored several more but he worked his socks off and got into good positions so even if he's not been clinical his goals return stays solid.  Mehdi has a groin strain (I presume that was what he was pointing to when I asked) and hopes to be back next week - think we missed him but on yesterday's evidence.

Smith for Risser would be the first change to make

Sorry to hear about the small minority of STFC fans - AFC is a lovely club and other than always beating them you've got to admire what they have achieved.

Wasn't a bad game yesterday. Thought a draw was probably the fair result. In the first half we were very poor. Just didn't get anything going at all and it was like watching us back in August where our defending from set pieces looked so dodgy. At one point I felt they were going to score every time they got a corner. Despite all of that we still had a few good chances. Connell should have bagged 2 in the first 45 to be quite honest but their keeper did make 2 decent saves.

In the second half we looked asleep for the first 15 minutes and they were all over us. A 2nd for them would have killed it off but we managed to stick it out and eventually we got going. Not sure how Connell missed that chance that seemed to trickle towards the post/wide. After our goal we were all over them and I thought we could have gone on to win it but it wasn't to be.

2 penalty calls turned down. The first I think is a penalty. Connell is running for the ball and clearly he's going to get there first. The Wimbledon player just clattered into him from behind. I don't think anyone would have stayed on their feet for that as the momentum would naturally knock you over. If that's outside the box it's a free kick. It really frustrates me when refs don't have the balls to blow for a penalty when they'd give the foul anywhere else on the pitch. The Caddis one I didn't see a lot of because of the view but it looked as if he was ready to shoot or flash the ball across goal so can't see why he would have gone down there. A few Wombles fan at the train station after the game even said it should have been a penalty. The ref was pretty shocking all round though and I lost count of how many times Jervis and Connell were pushed only for the ref to play on.

Di Canio's subs were spot on. De Vita was having a mare of a game and Gabilondo was very good when he came on. Smith changed the game. I think PDC should have made that change a bit earlier. Risser seems to go missing a bit too much and Ferry seemed to come into the game more when Smith came on and you can see it's a partnership that seems to be working so I think we should have those 2 starting in CM next week. Connell is much better as an impact player. His hold up play is very good and puts himself about but his finishing is pretty poor at times. We really missed Kerrouche yesterday. I think it showed how important he really is to the team.

And finally the ground. Tiny and the view was very poor. Had to tip toe to see anything in the 2nd half. It wasn't far off being as bad as Supermarine or Ciren. You can see how far AFC have come in the past few years and what a great achievement it has been.

No doubt my day would have been far better if I was able to join everyone on a proper LDN away day, but personally thought it was shit bar the hour in the pub before hand.

The ground is shit, if it was anyone but the fairytale that is AFCW then it'd be slated. Couldn't see fuck all, half the away terrace with no cover and not a great atmosphere due to it being long and shallow.

As for the game, we done more than enough to win it. The front 2 were rank in the first half but improved massively after the break though, to be fair. Risser had a mare, and Smith was quality when he came on, really showed up Risser. Al Mac and Flint were awesome again, they compliment each other so well and McCormack in particualr is really impressing me at CB.

Probably in the minority in disagreeing in a big way re taking Ritchie off. Was far from our worst player on the pitch and always likely to create, certainly more then Esajas anyway.

And, just to clarify, they were absolutely shite. Like proper shite. We had more than enough chances to win the game but didn't, and Connell alone missed 2 great chances and another 3 or 4 half-chances.

But the run continues, and it's an ok result so long as we back it up with 3 points next week.

I'm happy drawing our away games as long as we keep our good home form up. Someone pointed out in this thread that we still have 13 home games left to play in 2012 and only 10 away. That makes things very interesting. A few decent results on the road and keeping our home form up would result in us being high up the league come May.

As for Ritchie I thought he was getting into good positions and making good runs with the ball but he was always taking the wrong option at the end of it. He's not going to score from 30 yerds every week. Think it was the right choice to haul him off. He needs to know that he's not invincible.

One of the reasons i've stopped going to away games this season is because there is a real knobhead element recently that go just to cause trouble or sing abusive songs which basicly gives the decent town fans who are there to support the team a bad name.

Agree - this used to be self policed. The biggest fear the Town fans had was being thought of as a bunch of wankers, pretty much what most people agree an element of our fans are. There's a good chance they'll get sorted at Rovers. Its one thing taking the piss at Wimbledon, Accrington etc ( decent clubs who shouldn't have to put up with some of the shit we export ) but at Rovers, Scumland etc then they'll be fucked.  Of course, they might just turn out to be gobby l;ittle cunts when the police are around and scared shitless little bottlers when it comes down to arm to arm combat.

If people want to give it the bigun and gob off etc then it doesn't bother me generally. But it's doing it at clubs like Wimbledon that show them up for what they are.
When i was a teen at football there were loads of us who went together. We looked up to the older lads and didn't step out of line. We joined in with them singing, had the odd scape after games and drank beer, smoked spliffs etc but i never saw the sort of liberties taken like they do today. They would have been battered outside the grounds back then for sure

Surely that cant be much of a surprise - what with this being a Swindon Town forum and all that?

I dont think our away support gets much of a mention positively or negatively from the other teams.

I dont want to be negative but after experiencing the idiocy at that game I feel the need to post on here.

I stood near where the home fans were. felt very embarrassed at the dickheads mosh pitting in our end, think it was after our goal, causing one of our own fans (old boy) to fall over and need medical attention, at the same point when Di Canio turned round to try to calm the twats down.
I hope some of the idiots read this and realise your stupidity has caused that true football supporter to probably consider not going to any away matches any more. Nice one!! As long as you had fun thats all that matters.

As for the obese ginger who tells Ritchie hes shit within ear shot, which caused Richie to look up. well done, thats the way to show your support. When I pulled him up on it he said "he can play much better than that".
Judging from how he played after being 'G'd up' by ginge, I'd say that motivational technique is not conducive to the cause.
When it came to fuckwits shouting advice to Di Canio I just despair.

On a brighter note the majority of fans that came to support the team sounded gd from where I was.

The match is one to forget for me, we got totally hustled out of the match, ref was mostly to blame, should be dominating teams like this.

It does seem a more frequent occurrence this year for away fixture matchday threads to be littered with comments about our idiot element... I can't remember it happening in previous seasons.

Obviously a lot of morons have reached puberty this year...

Most of the matches I manage to get to are away matches, and I have to say that I have never seen so many embarrassing twats in the away end as there are this season.

I'm not a regular poster, and haven't gone back over all the previous posts, so not sure if this has been mentioned....

On saturday, a group of our fans thought it would be hilarious to chant 'there's only one John Terry' at a black steward. I assume that's the same people that have been mentioned on here? Utterly utterly moronic, and there's no excuse for it however old you are.

Myself, and others, shouted them down, but the whole thing left a really nasty taste in the mouth.

Used to go away all the time 10-15 years ago (before the family came along) but made a rare trip on Saturday.
Might just be my hazy memory but I'm convinced we never had such a large contingent of embarrassing supporters way back then. It wasn't just youngsters either on Saturday, we were stood near some older blokes presumably from Highworth (given the "we are Highworth, we do what we want" chant ) and they seemed to think it hilarious to sing "one Sepp Blatter" / "one John Terry" to the black steward stood in front of them, fair play to him he laughed it off but it was cringeworthy.

I was in the home end on Saturday.. I heard plenty of embarrassing songs from Dons fans, including racist stuff (aimed at Italians and Scots) they also had some weird song about Paedophiles which was just as cringeworthy as "we do what we want.."

After the game, 6 or 7 of their "lads" trying to goad Swindon fans into a reaction at Norbiton station then thought it would be more fun to sing "Steve Evans is a cunt" in front of a group of pensioners who were nothing to do with the football.. very much a shake your head and look at the floor moment.

It's not just our fans.

I was unfortunate enough to be stood near the 'supporters' mentioned all to often on here, and can only endorse the criticism levelled at them. It tarnished a good day out, and made me ashamed to be associated with them.

Many of the chants were appalling, but the abuse shouted at some of our players, Ritchie in particular, was unbelievable. The Town bench was only  8 feet away, and Paolo had plenty of 'advice' hurled his way - he can't have been too impressed by our 'fans' !

They weren't all youngsters either, plenty of middle aged pissed up prats !

Pretty poor performance apart from the last 20 mins.

Highlight of the day had to be the Blue bar after the game - wow !   Def be going back next year......oh bugger........ if we get promoted - will miss it !!

I was in the home end with my Mrs and 2 young boys at the back of the stand behind the home dugout which of course was next to the Town fans.
Stood next to me were 4 of my Mates, all Town fans.
To be fair I couldn't here many bad chants etc but my oldest lad knows bad language and I have to tell him to ignore it. Sadly it goes with the territory I'm afraid.

As always I love the away days and meeting up with the majority of Town fans. (Fred as always ;) )

Made me smile 2 minutes into the game with my 4 year old on my shoulders giving it "come on you reds" ....... Apart from an awful ground I have lots of respect for AFC Wimbledon and recall a few visits in the 70's and 80's to Plough Lane.

That train back to Waterloo was packed.

Anyway booked tickets this Morning to Torquay and Northampton so those t**ts won't be putting me off.

25 minutes to Northampton for my house so this is a home game. A few Cobbler Mates I know will be there and already are are giving Swindon an away win.

I was only down this end in the second half, it was pretty mental. I didn't hear most of the stuff being mentioned on here although I did hear some nob shout at Ritchie when he came off which someone has mentioned.

The one thing I will say is, the ones I did see acting prats were middleaged. Putting it down to some sort of new bread of idiots just won't work i'm afraid, as none of the usual nut jobs that kick off were even there....so I think people have got to look a bit closer than brushing it off as the young and dumb.

At Plymouth a few weeks back, there was a group of lads in their late teens/early 20's with a few middle aged blokes who I assume were the 'top boys'  ::)

I'd put money on it being the same pricks. They are more interested in fighting with the stewards than watching the game and getting behind the team.

As for abusing our players, this is the sort of thing that will drive players like Ritchie away from Swindon.

That, and a bigger pay packet and playing a a higher level :)

Personally I don't think it'll make much difference on that side of things.

Does my head in when fans really go after players. They just seem to let out their frustration in a very selfish way, having a go at the players who are the ones who can turn it around.

In general 'humour' on TV has got more offensive and more vindictive, and some people cant see the difference. They think anything offensive is funny. Thats just immature.

I would also say that football has 'gone for broke' in terms of fan behaviour. They want everyone to be perfect, and its never going to happen. They have blurred the lines of whats really out of order by going after things like standing in seats.

Sad to see Crispy earlier on in this thread saying that 'hes lost the love' already and all this. Shows a lack of class. If you are not interested in the football anymore and are just there to fuck about then you really should save yourselves the effort.

Come on chaps...little over the top eh?

Blimey we all were one of those scally's once wasn't we...a fart bomb and some silly chants :gay:
Course it is embarasing to watch and hear but we all have acted similar especially with a few beers in us surely.

When our younger fans start abusing old woman or beating up pensioners then it is time for a good clip.......in the main we have got some good young fans.

After three,1-2-3...........Swindun,Swindun Ra,Ra Rahhhhhhh! ;D

Sorry leefer, got to disagree a bit here. I will echo what football not longball said. I saw 3 fans being escorted away by the Old Bill or stewards. The frist was from just inside the home end I think, after they scored. Sounds like one of ours from what was siad earlier. The second was one of the young element who was arguing the toss and looked like he was back soon after. The third was the older bloke whe was being helped away by two of the Old Bill after he got caught up in the fuckwittery our fans instigated after a dodgy decision. I can understnd the anger over the decision because it was atrocious but, some of our fans just don't seem to give a flying fuck about how their actions impact on others. "We're Swindon Town and we do what we want"? Whoopee fucking shit.

As for the game-

Very poor and disjointed first half and a clear error by Risser leading to their goal. Not that Risser was the only person not up to speed. Many of the class players of recent weeks had poor games, or starts at least. McCormack, Ritchie, De Vita were all off their game to start with. McCormack pulled it back together and Ritchie had good moments. Bringing Gabilondo on for De Vita was a really good move and made a big difference to the game as did the switch between Ritchie and Smith. Connell worked hard and had some good moments but his poor finishing let him down badly. Foderingham was the dogs bollocks and if we were ever able to keep him, I think he could develop the legendary status of Saint Fraser of Digby (though I saw him put a kick into touch for the first time ever).

The two penalties looked stone bonkers to me. Connell gets flattened by a body charge from behind and Caddis is about to work his magic when suddenly his legs are out from underneath him. Hardly a surprise they weren't given though. Wimbledons defence must get training as a troop of acrobats as they spend a lot of time climbing all over the opposition. Jake spent most of his time in the final quarter of the pitch with someone climbing on his shoulders.

The BBC stats say it all-

Possession
AFC Wimbledon 41%    Swindon 59%

Attempts on target
AFC Wimbledon 5      Swindon 4

Attempts off target
AFC Wimbledon 2               Swindon 8

Corners
AFC Wimbledon 8        Swindon 7

Fouls
AFC Wimbledon 12     Swindon 6

It was ours to win......

As for the ground, I was with SWMBO in the front row behind our dug out. Yes the view was restricted. This could have been helped by Wimbledon sending someone out half an hour before kick off to run a squeegee or chamois leather over the plastic. The biggest obstruction to view was the condensation. Another ground with the fans tight to the pitch. The way I like it. A really ace view of the PdC show :D Watching his reactions to misses, fouls etc was priceless. He wears his heart on his sleeve. As to not seeing the Caddis penaltey, the greif he gave the 4th official suggests he was being holding his toungue in the post match interview. Every time he thumped the dugout, those inside got showered with water dripping off the roof. All kept schtum though :D As did the substitutes as he educated them on the errors of the ways of whoever made a mistake on the pitch.

Overall a good experience with a few negative points.

Wow, sure didn't feel like we had 59% of the possession. I'd have gone with Wimbledon 30%, Swindon 20% and pigeons 50 %.

That said, we did pile on the pressure for the last 25 minutes.

Still delighted with an away point give i felt we weren't really at the races, now lets consolidate with 3 points at home - that would make a great 7 days.

Juat watched the highlights for the first time - the reaction of the Wombles defenders suggests that we should have had a penalty for the trip on Caddis.

Hint to referees, if a defender turns to look at you as if he is afraid that he/one of his team mates is about to get sent off, it normally means that they really did commit a foul.

Thought at the time is was a stonewaller despite my judgement being clouded by a few jars and a crap view. I was happy to be proved wrong but the highlights just show the ref up for what he was all game. How can you book a player for that i'll never know either.

I caught a glimpse of Millwall v the Slave Traders on the sunday. Darius Henderson ran through, couldn't quite get on the end of a through ball and embarrassingly threw himself to the ground to try and win a pen/sending off. Shitty defender quite rightly told him to get up (and probably should have lumped the cheating shit). Ref did naff all. And they wonder why we want consistency.

Just watch the highlights on player. For anyone who didn't go I think a couple of Connell's first half chances are missing and Flints air kick as well.

Great save from Fodders on 1:24ish. Good tip over in the second half too.

Not an excuse bit it looked to either bobble or take a deflection. These things happen. I was more concerned about the lack of "bite" in midfield until Smith came on and Risser went off.

Thanks for your email including your kind comments and feedback. I will
pass your comments about the shelter on to the Operations team so they
can try and sort something out for future games. We know our stadium can
do with some other improvements too and we will be doing as much as we
can within our budget to improve things in future.

Thanks again. See you on 2 January.
