Might have to keep on eye out for that in the Poxford game highlights.

You could just about see it on the Football League Show.

Don't think it was burned into the pitch - it was reported by the club as being oil.

You could see it on the FL show (near the wooden fence end) but they'd cleaned it up enough that you couldn't make out what it said.

If you look up "Obsessed" in the dictionary there's simply a link to that thread. Unbelievable.

Think you're all being a bit harsh. Ok that guy has spent ages doing his research, but his point was to look at us and our history and compare it them amid fears about their own debts. One or two have jumped in with the rather ill-founded "wahey Swindon are going bust" comments but on the whole it's a fairly sensible thread.

Yep, some pretty reasonable and compassionate takes on the rivalry too.

That is ridiculous that someone has taken out time to do that research on their closest rivals. I feel dirty even reading anything to do with Oxford let alone taking time out and actually going out of my way to find out financial statistics on them

Yet you read it on our forum then commented about us on yours....you may need a very long shower tonight with lots of shower gel.
Go back to pretending about not caring about us!

11000 sold for Sat. Pretty poor considering that its only 8000 odd home fans.

That's not bad at all...up there with the Crewe game, which given the messed about KO time is a good sign.

I can't recall the 'el-classico A420' ((c) London Metro) being a sell out much in the past. Too much potential for trouble puts a few off I suppose. Add in its holiday season (stupid people going on holiday in the footy season!).

In fact 13,041 is the biggest (home) gate since 1972. A few around 11K so this is a good gate by comparison.

Anyone notice the attendance for Oxford's opening home league game?

Less than 6'500.

Football fever.

Just got my ticket for tomorrow (up to 500 expected to travel). As I was leaving the ticket office and getting in the car, there was a bloke outside the ticket office wearing a scum shirt. He then zipped up his coat and went inside to presumably get a ticket for Sunday. Now getting a ticket in the home end is one thing, but doing so while wearing a scum shirt is quite another.

Hopefully he didn't have an SN postcode so his journey was wasted.

I would of went back in and shouted "pox fan, pox fan" very loudly and hopefully they would have refused him a ticket. Then let the tyres down on his car and wrote stfc in oil over the bonnet

:D Thankfully we've actually got 4 sides to our stadium and therefore can't get onto the pitch with a cheeky leg up.

The fact that weed killer wasn't used and no taunts were added in fact points to this having been the work of Shrewsbury Town fans

I think they're just accounting geeks. There are a few of them on that forum, they love to pour over our accounts, and debates on the presentation and implications of the figures normally go into 10+ pages. They love that shit, and I think the analysis of your accounts puts aside the rivalry and feeds their hunger for figures.
