You could spend the afternoon looking for skips....always a good source of freebies, even if it's just firewood.

good idea. i saw a perfectly fine bike in a skip outside my girlfriend's halls of residence at uni. i regret not taking it.

You could buy a £1 scratchcard from the newsagents downstairs, and if it wins buy an owl.

I "found" the Eels "Beautiful Freak" and Soul Asylum's "Grave Dancers Union" in a charity shop today at a pound a piece.

If you buy something in a charity shop can you say it's "vintage?"

I've found out that white spirit doesn't taste as good as it smells. Shame.

Then gulp it, don't try to savour it.

I think that "Smells like white spirit" might be the name of my third album.

Always take your suit into a charity shop...they will wash and press it and you can buy it back at half the price a dry cleaners will do it for you.

I found Bristol today.  I wished I hadn't.
